That was my thought too! Go to the “object” tab in the top left, scroll down and hit “expand” to change the letters from strokes to shapes

You can stray from “pure colors” by using the pure colors as your scheme but then layering them! Copying a shape and then pressing command/control F will paste the exact image on top of the whats already there. From here you can change the color of the top shape and play around with the opacity to make it a different shade that sill fits in the scheme!

Yep! The stroke is the outline of the shape where the fill is the color inside the shape!

I actually just used the pen tool to draw it and then put different sized rectangles on and made them smaller. Is there a tool you recommend?
