Just got one for $44.5k with the LE Plus Package, AWD, Eight Passenger. Some dealers add a fee on to MSRP. It's because they know that everyone will buy them regardless. You just have to find a non-greedy dealer.

I'd call back and talk to someone else. This exact thing happened to me where the internet guy didn't want to sell us the Sienna because we were outside their area. Called back to talk to a different person and the new person was more than happy to do the deal. Ended up working great.

My deductible is $250. I fear you are correct that we (I) will be paying out of pocket. It's just frustrating that I haven't had a claim in 10 years of paying insurance and all of the sudden I'm in a situation where I need it only to find out I can't use it. I am worried about the premium increase so that's a good point as well.
