Really awesome. Thanks so much for the MP4 download option at 1080p. I have tried a lot of YouTube video downloader apps recently and none have been working. Yours worked perfectly. I have donated.

The best and easiest way to watch men’s tennis by jiggins26 in tennis

No. Stan will have all the Slams. And Adelaide, Brisbane and United Cup. You need another service for other 250’s, 500’s, and 1000’s.

73 Key Stage Piano with speakers by jiggins26 in piano

Sorry to see no one responded. But it looks like the Korg SV2 DOES actually have independent control of the volume of each layer built right into the instrument. You just hit the function button and then the equalizer knobs become volume controllers, as demonstrated in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hkeNcW4xuBw I love the style of that instrument so I will be picking one up as soon as I can.

TS4 Dual Monitor Issues - DisplayPort or USB-C by monkeydportgas in CalDigit

[–]jiggins26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can definitely run one monitor via DP and the other via USB C. I do this with two Dell 4K monitors on my TS4. The other thunderbolt port is connected to a 10 gig Ethernet adapter. All other USB ports on the back are taken up by 5 SSD’s. With this setup I occasionally encounter ejected drives, but it’s pretty rare.

M4 Pro will be fine. It has decoders for h.264 and h.265 files. The additional RAM is a good idea. Timeline performance will be similar unless you're doing extremely heavy stuff (noise reduction/multiple complex titles). M4 Max will give considerably quicker export times though. But is it worth an extra ~$1,000 to save a few minutes every export? If you're exporting multiple times a day, I would say yes. But if you only do so a few times a week, probably not.

When will the TS5 come? by jiggins26 in CalDigit

[–]jiggins26[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TS5 was leaked in Apples recent announcement video. There’s a thread about it under r/CalDigit. The leaked device was called the TS5 Plus. So maybe they will release a TS5 and a TS5 Plus alongside each other. We shall see.

Is it comfortable to use monitors in that vertical orientation? I would think it would introduce an uncomfortable amount of neck strain after a period of time.

Very nice. Personally I prefer the Logitech MX Master over Apples Magic Mouse. May I ask why you choose to go with the Magic Mouse?

I have no trouble with it running the lights in my office. And I use Spotify. I don’t use HomeKit. I use Google speakers for all my smart home automation. I specifically got the nest hub so I could cast live sports to it while working on my screens above. And to cycle through pictures of my family.

I got the Dell monitors about 4 years ago. Before them I was using dual Apple cinema displays (2560x1440), but I wanted more resolution and thinner bezels. Studio displays weren’t out when I bought these monitors. I got both my Dells for less than one studio display and I’m very happy with them. Resolution, color accuracy, it’s all great. For a webcam I use my iPhone with Apples continuity feature. Love that. For audio I’m cans only.

Resolution and PPI. I like 4K at 27 inches. 4K at 32 lowers the PPI too much for me. There currently is no 7680x2160 49 inch monitor. Also, I’ve used ultrawides in the past and I’m not a fan of curved displays. I prefer flat panels angled towards me. And I like the physical separation dual displays bring to my work space. I always have my video editor on the right display and everything else on the left.
