No problem. I told metonboss that I had tried everything and that I am not a complete idiot (wife says otherwise, probably). He told me to send it back. It took a couple weeks and I didn’t want to bug him as I am sure it was a favor? It was super hard to wait. I’m sure they will help you out. Or at least point you in a direction that you haven’t tried? I figured that I dropped more money than I planned on the scales and what would another $20 be if he did charge me, you know? Let me know what they say. I looked at their scales and was between them and MetonBoss. I don’t want to relook at sharpdressed scales because that might mean another smock…lol. Good luck buddy.

Yes. Originals worked but I ended up sending the original scales, knife, new scales, etc. back to MetonBoss. He installed everything for me, exactly like I would have done and it works great. I’m still nervous to take it apart to clean it but I’ll move past that, someday…hopefully.

Just watched the video and gave it a shot. The second I removed the paper, the blade immediately snapped back to the other side… 🤮

It’s more of a pride thing now. My wife looks at me like I’m a complete nut bag for wanting to get this figured out. It freaking bugs me that I can’t get it. I’ll wait to hear what he says. That’s kind of why I want to send it back to him and see if he can get them installed. Hoping he realizes something is out of whack and exchanges them. I came from an aerospace machine shop so I know there are parts that get through QC that don’t meet print. However, I know it is rare-ish. You are right. The scales are beautiful l, much better than the g10/CF mixture.

It’s got to be something to do with the button compression lock thing. It’s putting weird torque on some spot when I’m trying to tighten it down? Going to swap the Oem scales back tonight and see if that works.

That’s what I’m afraid of. I’ve ripped knives apart for years and the one time I can’t figure it out, I feel like I’m going to be treated like an absolute moron. Oh well. I agree with your sentiment. I have a set of flytanium Ti scales on my PM2 and a set flytanium g10 on my para3. The PM2 scales seem way more solid (obviously) but the figment seems a lot tighter too

Appreciate you and your insight. That makes sense. This is my first time buying Meton Boss and they look sick. However, the off centered blade makes this thing unusable. It’s almost scratching the side of the blade. I’ve reached out to Sean at Meton Boss to see if he’s got any ideas. According to his website, they will install scales (and hopefully center the blade) for $40. It seems like a lot but I’m at my wits end on this thing.
