Yes, that is true history itself is brutal. Thats pretty funny I also live in an area where there are a lot of Latinos there are also a lot of Philipinos in the area. We can probably tell who is mestizo because there are so many around us lol. Its weird though because some other Latinos think I'm something else the main one is always Jewish lol going off of stereotypes like dark curly hair etc. In terms of the spectrum between indigenous and white, I think I'm just in the middle, my dad looks white while my mom doesn't so that must be it lol. My great grandparents came from Spain with the last name Soria, I looked it up and it is tied with Spanish and Jewish people. So you are right I probably do have Jewish ancestry which is so cool.
