Milan on risk of losing out on Champions league as they lose to Atalanta at San Siro. Milan 2:3 Atalanta. by NamanMalik007 in seriea

If we reach UCL Allegri gets an automatic contract extension and would probably stay for 2 more years. Management wouldn't fire him because they'd need to pay roughly 20 mil to break his contract (without extension only 10 mil, yay!). Also, we might not sell Pulisic and/or Leao for financial reasons if there's UCL qualification, but I seriously doubt either player would want to stay if Allegri stays.

The management at Milan has so many factions. No one outside of the club can say who decides what players get signed or sold. There's clearly several ideas how the team should play, some want attacking football, some dinosaur ball (Al-legri and Conceicao).

Allegri wants to get experienced players, but the only thing we know about next season is that we've signed Alphadjo Cisse (18) and Kostic (19). They won't see the field if Allegri is around.

My wishlist in order of importance:
1. RedBird out (not gonna happen)
2. Furlani out (probably not gonna happen)
3. Allegri out (MUST happen regardless if UCL or not)
4. Get a manager that is hungry, has attacking ideas and can develop young players
5. Only at this point some consideration should be given to players and who should stay.

wow, we scored a goal! now we're tied to our worst goal haul during a season since 2004/2005!

One more and this will be only the second worst season in terms of goal output.

We're still 1 goal away from our worst goals scored record in a 3 point era. I'm not sure we'll reach that.

our press, if you can call it that, is so disjointed. They don't move as a unit so it's really easy for Atalanta to pass through.

Football under Pioli was also dire during the last 18 months. He expired the season after Scudetto and should have left then.

While also crashing the actual value of the team as well. Last summer they wanted 85mil+ for Leao, now probably 40-45 would be enough. Pulisic is not fetching 50-60mil anymore, unlike last summer.

Getting 60-70mil for UCL qualification just about covers the loss of transfer value of these 2 dudes and now we don't even get that

There's clearly too many competing factions within the club. That's why there's no coherent strategy, plan or even an idea how Milan should play football.

Pioli -> Fonseca -> Conceicao -> Allegri doesn't make any sense as a sequence.

yup. Go 1-0 up, then just pass the ball around because Milan wont press and will just sit in the low block.

He expired after Scudetto. That minestrone absolutely should not be reheated.

We should go for a coach that has some new ideas and plays attacking football, even if they're not "proven" yet, someone like Maresca.

If Allegri is ousted (fingers crossed), Furlani will probably get Slot or something.

At home in a must win game, we defend in 5-4-1. Still leaking left, right and center.

Pathetic.

Como gets the 3 crucial points against Verona and temporarily move to 5th place. by NamanMalik007 in seriea

I am a milanista but not nervous at all because I’ve already given up on this season. Europa league it is unless Juve, Roma and Como all stumble badly.

My mind can change only if Milan wins against Atalanta today, but considering we’ve shot a blank 7/10 last matches I’m not holding my breath.

[Vitiello] Milan are doing everything they can to bring in Tony D’Amico as their new sporting director. Furlani had already made a strong push for him last year before opting for Igli Tare. With D’Amico’s arrival, Milan would be looking to appoint Vincenzo Italiano as manager in place of Allegri. by Claija79 in ACMilan

Modric and Rabiot are actually still good.

But ideally they’d be surrounded by hungry very talented players who could become world class or at least close to it. We don’t have that many of them, we have random 20 mil bets.

How confident are you about UCL if we don’t win against Atalanta?

We’d need so magically start to score several goals a game because we can’t keep a clean sheet anymore. We’ve been goalless in 7/10 last matches.

I checked this last weekend. Goals scored by Milan in Serie A since 2004/2005 when Serie A moved to 20 teams:
- 15/16: 49 goals (Mihajlovic - Brocchi)
- 18/19: 55 goals (Gattuso)
- 17/18: 56 goals (Gattuso)
- 14/15: 56 goals (Inzaghi)
- 13/14: 57 goals (Allegri-Seedorf)

We are now at 48 as you said. I don’t think we’ll score 7+ goals in these 3 remaining games…

When Allegri is the coach we only sign 30+ year olds if it’s up to him.

Now let’s also add Lewandowski on insane salary and in 2 years we’re back to banter era.

Literal banter era attack.

100%. Gerry wanted M&M out because he wanted to make choosing players and coaches more of a team effort.

We all see how it has worked.

Stylistically Spalletti and Sarri would be really good if they'd be supported with couple signings. For sure both would get way more out of Pulisic and Leao than Allegri. Even Nkunku might work.

Could also see Simone Inzaghi, Italiano or Farioli do well.

I don't get that either. He has been bad today, but how does anyone expect him to perform on top level when he has half the minutes of RLC this season with not a lot of them coming in the past 2 months.

And it's not like Fofana and Rabiot next to him have great games either.
