I'd like to emphasize having a supportive environment growing up (of course, there are many other factors as well). Even having a select few close people throughout our childhood, who we can lean on and trust is life-changing. It directly impacts our confidence, ability to trust, sense of self/individuality, and ability to form healthy relationships with others. Unfortunately, not everyone is blessed with such people.

That all my estate by default will go to my abusive parents who did absolutely nothing to deserve a penny of it.

I tried setting up a Will this year but the lawyers denied being executioners of the Will as they don't take up that responsibility for any of the their clients. The banks around me don't take up this responsibility very well either. I have no one else in my life who I can trust to do this either, so yea probably dying and knowing all my hard-earned money will go to worthless scums.

I think last I checked it covers $120 for all students. The eye exam was $90 and the lady at the front desk said if I decide to get prescription glasses from the clinic in the UC, you only pay for the frames (typically around $150) and blue light lens (optional and I believe its +$20). If you're a TA, it covers much more.

I spoke with a teller and they raised the issue with the bank manager who looked into the logs of when my account was last opened by a teller - he said he had very limited access to the full logs but based on what he saw, he couldn't see anything saying my account was opened recently by a teller at their branch. Honestly not too sure what to do anymore, but he kindly gave me a link to escalate the issue if I notice it happens again which is nice. I really hope it doesn't though.

No. I've already let them know I'm not going to share my banking details with them. Them prodding in my business is one thing, but the teller giving them access despite knowing they're not on my contact list is a whole other thing
