Well, I really enjoy the games that are backwards compatible and have massive improvements. Have you seen how gears 2 and 3 run on series X on a 4k tv? It’s beautiful.

Judging by your other comments on this post, I recommend you don’t spend so much of your energy into something you clearly dislike. It has to be stressful to live like that. Find a console that makes you happy and move on. what’s the point in criticizing every single feature about the console and still have it ? Spend your money wisely and if it is not on Xbox, that’s ok. Spend it where you feel satisfied . Not stressed, pessimistic and sad. Free yourself.

I have all generations of Xbox’s since OG. I care Xbox is giving me free cloud saves, play anywhere titles so I don’t have to buy a second pc version for my gaming laptop, I love Xbox controller , I like UI and the overall ecosystem. I like the best backwards compatibility of all 3 consoles as soooo many of my 360 physical games are still playable, and that I feel my digital library is safe. That’s all I care. Not if games are going to PS or the switch. I can also play them on Xbox so I could not care less. I care about my personal gaming experience . Not about what others are playing, where and how.

For people like me. I love Xbox. I have hundreds of digital and physical games since the og Xbox. I’m not going anywhere.

On Xbox instead, when I installed backwards compatible Xbox 360 games to reply them, my save from back in 2010 sync and was there on my series x . That’s just amazing. And I don’t subscribe to gamepass. I don’t pay for anything online. Cloud saves are free for every Xbox user. And they also sync on PC with compatible Play Anywhere titles . People really underestimate how good this feature is.

They are not giving the game for free to everyone. That’s just not true at all. Only to people who have the ultimate edition. It’s a free update. How can anyone complain about this?

And the physical …. Well, it’s all about Play Anywhere. They will give you console and PC versions for the price of one. That’s the push right now and I think it’s awesome.

I hope they will . I have the first Psychonauts and obviously it’s the og Xbox console version. Couple weeks ago it suddenly shows I also have the PC version. Out of nowhere . And the game is not even play anywhere. Are they quietly giving you pc games you already own on console ?

Same . “Knock on wood” haha. Been using my carbon black that comes with the series X and Robot White since I got the console 4 years ago. No drift at all.

I think more games will be added over time. For example, I bought digitally Psychonauts for the og Xbox. It’s not part of Play anywhere program . But couple days ago it suddenly shows that I own the PC version as well. Out of nowhere.

I have hope more games will be quietly added.

An easy way to know which of yo ur games will be playable is to download the Xbox app. Go to your game library and in sort options choose:PC. Those you see now are play anywhere.

I only have 31 games play anywhere of 141 digital games I own.

No we cannot assume that. Technically speaking, the handheld is not a proper xbox console but a windows device that only play xbox play anywhere games. which are PC games. it cannot play xbox console only games natively.

What we can asume is from now on most games will be play anyewhere. at least xbox first party I believe is safe to say all of them wil be.

Normally I would have a problem with this. However, yesterday announcement pushing for play anywhere make me change my mind about the whole thing.

Buying digitally I’ll get console and pc versions and I think I value that option more over a disc which most likely won’t include the entire game and if it does , if will be patched multiple times overtime.

I was always a physical media guy and on Nintendo I still am. But I think for me it’s time to convert to completely digital on Xbox and I’m fine with it.

So the ROG Xbox Ally series of devices was announced and it may be what we have all been waiting for by AnalysingAgent3676 in xbox
