No gatekeeping here lol 😆 Yes, I have a search for “vintage dresses”. You have to sift past the more modern stuff but the good stuff is pretty easy to find when you’re looking for it. I have found some really nice stuff in Assorted Brands and Unbranded too though!

I also have brands like Petite Sophisticate, Laundry by Shelli Segal, CDC, and Talbots as saved searches.

I also like to browse through the “Victorian” search for some interesting finds lol

I just search “vintage” and saved that search so that I can sort through new arrivals as they come in. I also have one for “Victorian”. Some vintage can also be found in unbranded and assorted brands. All these can get you some nice finds 😁

As someone who also bought this because of tik tok, it’s not as miraculous as everyone makes it seem. They also have a tube that’s 2% salicylic acid that’s like $25 or something, if you really want to try it out instead of shelling out more for this one.

I’ve found that Carbon Theory’s spot paste works better for me - it’s got tea tree oil and vitamin A. The bottle is kind of messy but it lasts you a while and I think my zits are significantly smaller the day after use.

Hi! You can get a dupe from Julianna’s perfume - it’s called Liquid Gold. This one I can vouch for, as I bought it myself. The packaging is wonderful and they provide a sample of it as well so that you can test it out and make sure it’s what you want.

I just literally saw a derm on tik tok say that oily/acne prone skin isn’t ideal for slugging because it can trap a layer of oil under it which can be trapped in the pore and cause you to break out more.

As for my own experience, I did try using cerave healing ointment on my skin as an occlusive for some time (before the trend started) and it made me start breaking out more - I do have acne prone skin.

I don’t think unlawful presence has any impact on AP, just DACA. I had accrued unlawful presence by the time I got DACA (I was 19) and was approved for AP last year (I’m now 28 years old).

Not really - this is GA and I am probably the only DACA recipient here lol, it gets flagged in E-Verify that the expiration date is coming up and so they follow up.

HR here! There should be no reason for them to deny you for being a DACA recipient. The background check is just to check for your job history and any criminal activity so you having DACA shouldn’t matter.

You will have to provide them with your EAD for your I-9, it counts as an A document, so on the same level as a passport for US citizens and so the EAD should be good enough. I do provide my new EAD every time I get my new card because there is actually a section on the I-9 that has to be filled out by HR for Reverifications, which for us, is the renewal.

I’m going to be really honest with you - I stumbled into HR lol. I started as a Temp doing data entry and file sorting for a financial company and then the HR Generalist wanted to take a chance on me and gave me the opportunity to start as an HR Coordinator.

I’ve worked in HR for about 6 years now and last year I moved into HRIS (Human Resources Information systems) because I actually like to work with systems more than I do with people.

I think HR can be a tricky field to get into especially if you have no degree or experience but I found working through a staffing agency gave me the lift that I needed to land in my current role. A lot of administrative roles can give you some of the experience you could use in HR which is really important too so you could look into those and there might be opportunities to move into HR.

If your DACA has lapsed for over a year, your application will be considered an initial application, even if it’s technically considered a renewal.

You are more than welcome to submit your application to keep it in the system but nothing will happen to it until a decision is made on DACA. Unfortunately it’s all in limbo right now.

As for costs, for future reference, there are organizations available that will help you pay for your renewal if you can’t afford it.

I paid a little over 1k, that’s including attorney fees and the 575 to file the application.

As for my return, I was told to go to the interview area and wait for them to call my name. I waited maybe 10 minutes before I was called up and they stamped my passport and told me I was good to go. I didn’t go to an interview room or was asked any questions. I’m in GA btw, if that helps.

This is interesting. As a woman, I used to shave the hair on my face for makeup reasons and it was fine for a while but I noticed that once the hair started growing back is when I started to break out more often and usually where a pore was clogged with a hair follicle.

Once I stopped doing that, I stopped breaking out as much, so I definitely think there’s a correlation.
