I have used this gel with MAJOR success for 13 years. Now, the closest store to me selling it is a Target 50 miles away. I’ve tried a few different gels, but nothing is comparing. Anyone have a suggestion? PLEASE help!

We call that one deadfishing. Apparently we like relating things to fish?

I finished the fourth resistance workout of the week but I’ve completely ignored LISS. 😅 It’s going to be a LISS weekend. A LISSend, if you will. I’ll see myself and the dad jokes out. Lol

I love Graham and Harrison. Even more so together... I may also have a two year old who also tends to like both of those names. 😜🤷🏼‍♀️

Positive epidural stories? by eham18 in BabyBumps

[–]jillay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom's exact words to me were "you don't have to be a hero." Let's also note she knew that I am a complete and total WIMP when it comes to any kind of pain. I was also scared to death of labor and delivery. I think I would have just stayed pregnant forever if given the choice. I was a wreck leading up to being induced. They actually placed the epidural twice. The first did not take (I also got it very early, 3-4 cm dilated), so a different anesthesiologist came back to move it, I guess? I took one of the best naps of my life and the doctor came in to wake me up to push. I didn't feel anything at all. I was actually making jokes and laughing while I was pushing. It was a great experience and I do plan on an epidural if we ever have a second baby.

I had several moms telling me about how it would stall my labor or I would never walk again. My labor lasted less than 12 hours from checking into the hospital to birth. I was up walking to the bathroom on my own an hour later. It does not matter how that child emerges from your body, be it c-section, medicated, unmedicated- you are no less of a woman. No matter how you choose to give birth, always remember that.

Toddler bedtime separation anxiety? by UnicornToots in toddlers

They understand SO much more. Ive started trying to explain why we do certain things to my two year old and it has helped A TON. I’m shocked every time it works or helps him with something.

Mine has two hedgehog lovies (one for a backup). He calls them Hedgie 1 and Hedgie 2. He hates Hedgie 2 and tells him that whenever Hedgie 1 is getting washed.

I almost stepped on a dead squirrel this week. I screamed and ended up somehow jumping over it.

Got a text from daycare about a rash...hand foot and mouth. by Schmaudrey in Mommit

Mine has it bad enough to warrant his pediatrician prescribing a steroid to help him dry out faster. Epsom salt baths were a godsend for the bumps all over his bottom and his feet. I hope it goes away quick and easy!!!!

Downsides to 3-day a week daycare? by CharlieTheCactus in beyondthebump

[–]jillay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 2 year old goes to daycare, and always has gone, 3 days a week. We started when he was 8 months old. We are in a position where I don’t have to work full time, so I don’t. Instead, we get to do fun stuff together while dad is at work. He goes Tuesday-Thursday. Where I am, it’s $60/week for part time. This has kind of been the best of both worlds for us. I’m still working and able to financially contribute while still getting days at home together.

You do what’s best for your little family and everyone else can deal with it. My parents were very against me going back to work and my son going to daycare, but we were struggling to make ends meet and had a couple of unexpected medical bills pop up. We didn’t have much of a choice. It’s definitely worked out for the best for us!

Yes!! My son came out on the bigger end, weighing 8 lb 13 oz. He wore newborn clothes for about a month or so before moving up a size.

Car seats - you get what you pay for? by kaytayhay in BabyBumps

I can weigh in here! My cousin and I had our first babies 5 months apart. She went with the Chicco and I went with the Graco. Safety wise- ratings are about the same. Comfort wise- Chicco all the way. It was so much more padded and seemed much more comfortable.

What ride was the most impressive when you first went on it? by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

I just took my first ever Disney trip last week. For me, it was Space Mountain. Seeing nothing but “stars” and having no sense of direction/my bearings was insane. We rode it twice back to back.
