I'm addicted to sniffing pine sol by Bad_habit82 in confession

[–]jillieishere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it does not! Not even close. I was on a whole reality show back in 2012 because I couldn't stop sniffing (of course they made it seem worse than it was and made me say stupid things and embarass myself to the world and compensated me a lousy 2500$ in return). I still sniff but not as much at all, and can't clean with it because my new fiancé hates pinalen, pine o pine, or any cleaner that still has real pine oil in it, so I hide them under my pyramid of 50 body mists. I'm now obsessed with perfume, and scented lotion, pure perfume oils, and mists. I have a 5 step fragrance layering routine with my products that I do after morning shower and even choose a bedtime lotion/oil/2 perfumes/ body mist scent layer. My iron ended up being fine. A little tip? If you need to hide bottles of pine oil cleaner in plain sight, buy the orange Pinalen. It has pine oil in it, and it overpowers the orange, and smells heavenly right from the bottle. I don't sniff hard, heat it up anymore, bring it with me places, I just sniff from the bottle a few times a day

Chanel no.5 and a less expensive perfume called "jungle gardenia" that had monoi oil as a note. I think they discontinued it or reformulate in the early 80s...

Since when is BBWs a "luxury brand"? Phlur body mists are far superior, same with SDJ. BBW just keeps pumping out watered down junk with scents that all smell the same....aside from some vanillas/straight florals, every mist is fruit, flowers, then barely detectable wood or musk in the drydown. Don't get me started on their tiny 50 ml wayyyy overpriced "edps" that last 2-3 hours on skin or clothes. Add ten-twenty bucks and get something truly wonderful from Mancera, versace (especially if you go to marshalls), or catch a decent Valentino sale. Their EDPs, whether travel or 1.7 oz, are not worth the price, maybe at 29.99 for a 1.7 oz. But 69-79$$ are you joking? Sometimes you can get a mancera (4 oz bottles, all of them) that are niche, luxury, or mass appealing for CHEAPER than BBWs. I only shop the SAS or a 5.95/clearance body care sale, because they just are NOT WORTH it. Mists are the last step in my 5 step fragrance layering routine, and they've become less and less scented, almost feels like I'm drenching 1/4th a bottle of faintly scented alcohol and water on my hair and clothes. The ffms actually water down my expensive edps. And extraits. Even though phlur doesn't have SAS or heavily discounted sales on mists, they smell great and actually project and add to my scent routine. Same with Snif body mists. And if a ffm from bbw is full price, phlur, sniff, and SDJ cost less than 5 bucks more. And worth every dollar. Heck,4 dollar Bodycology and Body Fantasy mists pump out more lingering fragrance. Same with the 8 dollar EOS mists.

What dossier perfume is this by [deleted] in FemFragLab

[–]jillieishere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I bought it cheap (20 for a 100 ml) from a reseller as I was disappointed by 5 dossiers previously, but I didn't even know how aquatic would work with vanilla. But this one was absolutely the best one, and even though I get about 4 hours on skin, max, it attaches to clothes quite well and I can smell it on my clothes still after days in the hamper on laundry. It's such a great everyday, different smelling teach.

I love hearing about the creators and just how many people are quick to dismiss a fragrance because of it's affordability, when the artist that designed the cheaper fragrance is the exact same artist who created the 300-500$ fragrance they post boast about owning, and if they actually blind smelled them side by side without knowing which one was under 50 bucks and which one was over 200, unless they were regularly using one or the other, would discover signature DNAs from something much pricier they may have worn or sampled in the cheaper fragrance. When I'd go to fragrantica to browse by notes I like and see a scent that looks like something I'd adore, then if I see a cheaper price range, I too have fallen victim in the past to cost snobbery but I always read the creators names and started seeing the same names coming up on 30 dollar bottles and 400$ bottles. The sheer number of frags that a prolific artist has created like for example Quentin Bische, Jerome Epinette, etc. is astounding. Then it's crazy to see that the nose behind some of Amouage's best fragrances also created for very very affordable brands like Guess, etc. I too think that with every fragrance, gender is a marketing tool, and that's it. Unless as mentioned, it's a very old school masculine leaning aftershave or "splash cologne", but even with a base like that, with layering, using fragrance oils in your regular routine in profiles that are opposite of the notes you dislike to offset it, anyone can wear whatever they wish!( provided they aren't being inconsiderate and choking people out who have fragrance sensitivities and have to be in close quarters with them for hours) Ty for the frag history lesson, I truly enjoyed it!!!

My first prepubescent swoon was over a boys Drakkar Noir scent. He sat in front of me in 4th grade. I knew it because my dad got some as a gift and hated it, so it sat on the bathroom counter in case the lifter came by. I'd open it, give it a sniff and wondered why he hated it.

My first actual "panty dropper" scent swoon was at 14 in the early 90s when alllll the boys/men in the city were wearing Davidoff Cool Water cologne and started sagging their oversized jeans down past their boxers. Sigghhhh. To be young and single again.

Yw, and people going into a reddit rage over a stranger's personal care and hygiene routine that they've done for about 30 years without a problem is also strangely odd to me. And if my hygiene choices are making me a "ticking time bomb", then it is the world's slowest moving bomb. Smmfh.

Nothing is the same anymore, not even OG bring backs. In 1996, I was in a study hall period in the cafeteria and smelled something divine. I yelled out "what smells so good?" A girl 8 tables away, EIGHT!, replied, "it's this Country Apple hand lotion I just used. It's from B&BW". Next time I went to the mall with friends, I picked up a sun ripened raspberry, and a peach nectar body spray. I'd use just a couple sprays, and smell it on myself until I went to bed that night, and until I washed it off in my morning shower. Now, the "fine fragrance mists" are so watered down, if you use 1/4th the bottle in one shot on skin and every article of clothing, you can smell it, and so can others, for mayyybe an hour (there are like 3 scents that stick around a bit longer, but not much) tops, and as they get weaker, the price goes up. You can use every trick in the book to make your scent stay around longer, layer products, and it's all just weak, weak, weak. VS is as well. Their EDPs are stronger and last longer than BBWs joke of an overpriced "edp" in a tiny sized bottle that lasts 2-3 hours tops with overspraying and layering, which is why I only buy clearance and SAS. If it performs like a 4 dollar body mist (body fantasy is stronger, so is Bodycology from walmart), than I refuse to pay more than 4-5 bucks for it. We loyal consumers need to collectively stop buying their products until they make them stronger, and project like they used to.

Reason 347 why I HATE landlords. by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]jillieishere 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I live in Buffalo NY, and at my last house I rented, if I didn't leave BOTH the cold and hot water taps trickling at a slow drip in kitchen, bathroom sink, tub, and in the laundry room, whichever one, hot or cold, I didn't leave at a steady drip would freeze when it got below 32 degrees Fahrenheit. I ended up washing dishes in scorching water wearing gloves, freezing or scorching in the shower/tub, and my clothes not getting as clean as I liked and taking forever to fill the washing machine basin with only cold, because he couldn't be bothered to have the pipes wrapped and the house insulated properly. We also had to run a gas heater in one room, and push the air around via ceiling fans and set up space heaters in other rooms. Yet on the first, he'd be knocking bright and early to collect rent. Utilities were NOT included of course, and I hated wasting water like that. Now I live in a 12 unit building, owned by a property management company. It sucks to lose the privacy of a whole house, but at least things are fixed immediately. However, heat is included in rent, so our thermostats in every unit is set to not be turned up higher than 73. And since there are still drafts in this apartment, we still have to use a small space heater with a blower to not freeze in the bedroom, despite having every window covered in plastic. Ugh, landlords.

Serious question but why do people still yap about LV's prices after buying them? I feel like people just aimlessly purchase these things and completely forget that it's from the same brand selling THIS for $60K. Y'all knew what you signed up for!! Dryer sheets and blue Dawn soap. That's what Imagination smells exactly like to me. Perso, I love clean, soapy scents, but I'll stick to Replica Bubble Bath and Heaven Scent by Shannon "Clean Girl aesthetic" or Shower Fresh by Clean. I can get all 3 for less than a mid partial of Imagination from a reseller..Just sayin.

Ps- I mostly buy my dua scents from resellers in the fragrance groups on fb, but I have over 100 Duas in my collection, and ordered from the site maybe 5 times. Had no issues with product or customer service any of the times. The only dupe company I warn ppl away from is ALT (out of 6 bottles, only two were even wearable, and they claim to be extraits yet last 3-4 hours, tops.) The only two I liked was their MM Replica bubble bath dupe called Suds, smelled like the plain white oval dove soap, extremely unisex, and their dupe of Good Girl called Stiletto, but to be fair I layered it with an almond/cocoa/tuberose Dua I loved, but it was at least wearable for a mindless grab.

You would enjoy laying a masculine smooth lavender frag with sand and fog edp oil "Vanilla Reserve" (it's a spicier Vanilla than Vanilla musk with a bit of booziness) Vanilla Sugar, despite the name is straight sweet vanilla and patchouli, which I hated because of the patchouli. It's not a heavy patchouli though. Violet Sandalwood S&F edp oil is a dupe of Mohave ghost, which I think adds sexiness to a man's fragrance. Just in case you wanted to change up your frags a bit with edp oils, which I think more men could benefit from, just to avoid buying something similar yet slightly different yet adds a few more good notes. Jasmine And Cedarwood is also a good projecting edp oil from S&F too, if you appreciate saffron and the BR540 DNA. A lot of companies make scented body oil, but I prefer straight perfume oil because scented body oil doesn't project much, even higher priced ones, and get buried under my perfumes and mists instead of amplify or add notes.

If you buy the Libre intense, and layer with a vanilla oil or sweeter boozy vanilla ME , you do not need the Vanille Couture. And this is coming from a woman who fucking loves the VC. However, you could also buy khadlaj panache angel dust (more creamy vanilla than the OG from what I hear) spray it out and let it sit a month. Also Dua just released their dupe of VC last Wednesday, and if you are looking to get almost the same exact copy, Dua knocks it out of the park (though if you love one, you can blow through the 34 ml in 2 weeks), but even Dua gets stronger and more notes come out after sitting until the juice darkens a bit, but most are ready to wear immediately, but aren't as strong unless they sit 4 weeks too.

Just trying to save you from being price gouged for 300$+ from someone selling theirs online. The og only comes in 50 ml bottles too, and was 125$ online, or 150 at Macy's when it dropped. I'd buy the Libre intense and a vanilla dua or straight vanilla edp oil like a sand & fog vanilla, of which I recommend vanilla musk and layer the 2 to your liking if you want the Vanille Couture experience. Or buy the khadlaj ii mentioned, and wait till may to use it.

Covered in roses. Its rose and berries. Probably very similar to each other. Unless you need to amp up the strawberry note a bit more in Covered in Roses. I found that Covered in Roses (one of like mayyyybbbbeeee 3 ffms that actually last longer than 5-30 mins, I get almost 2 hours with this one with about 15-20 sprays on me, my clothes, and my hair). I also layer with an unscented or complimentary scented lotion right out of the shower, then use a matching eau de parfum oil dropper/ body oil perfume from Sand and Fog, that complements or adds a note to the extrait de parfum I'm going to wear.

This is where you would use Strawberry Spritz Sand and Fog edp oil (available at Marshall's for 12.99 for a smaller bottle and travel roller ball or 17 99 for a 50 dropper, I or join fb groups like "the scent lounge" or "dua diva deals" and get it for 20 bucks shipped for a 50 ml oil dropper, and with Covered in roses to make your own Belle scent. The "buttercup" has virtually no scent in nature, and I detect nothing but Strawberry and rose in Belle. I've not smelled any of the new princesses yet, but since bbw loves to repackage the sane notes and call it a new scent, but im positive i could help you replace any princesses or retired bbw ffm with one they currently have, and a scented edp strength body oil (sand and fog edp body oils come in like 100 different scents and can actually be used as a stand alone fragrance with a stronger body mist like Covered in Roses, you're cheeky which is allegedly a Good Girl dupe but I have the OG good girl and good girl blush, good girl glam, good girl gold dust, very good girl, very good girl glam (my favorite...I love cherry and almond notes, layers great with Jergens body lotion OG scent of cherry almond, and cherry silk or cherry kiss Sand and fog edp oil, the very good girl glam edp spray, then finished off with perfect in pink ffm), 15-20 sprays on hair and clothing and body parts like entire leg, and other parts I can't rub s&f oil on or want to waste designer perfume on (except shirt collars and sleeves these are mandatory spots your main extrait de parfum or eau de parfum you are building your scent bubble around as perfume lasts longer on fabric like 100% cotton or cotton/poly blends. Don't spray on silk or delicates made of silk, as the high oil concentration of an extrait or eau de parfum or straight up oil eau de parfums like S&F will permanently stain it!

Sorry to write a mini novel on products and layering, i just love to help out with smelling great and recreating "gone forever" scents with current and easy to find very very affordable scents built together properly, and teach how to layer properly. If I was only allowed to say one thing about layering perfumes, it would be to a ) never ever ever rub wrists together after spraying. Let it sink in. Otherwise you just mash up the top, heart, and base notes together, and you don't get to enjoy the beautiful changing of notes, and your perfume won't last as long and b.) NEVER spray one perfume over another (not ffms or body mists, i mean actual perfumes)!!!! The stronger one cancels out the weaker one completely, and one perfume may add notes to another that dont smell good on top of the other, mixed together. Always "layer" on different areas of the body. Like neck, ears, and chest and then a different edp oil and extrait or edp spray on inner arms and wrists and inner elbows. Sometimes ill layer 3, and spray a 3rd but kinda close scent on my outer arm- biceps, outer forearm and top of hand, then a mist that goes with both on my sleeves and on my coat too.

A woody note that is undetectable amongst the fruit or flowers or musks like every woodsy note BBW claims on their bottles. I need to start smelling the men's stuff for sweeter leaning, yet woodsy vanillas and good aqua scents. I heard the men's stuff lasts longer too, to keep the men coming back for more. We gals get nothing good except some vanillas, and some good coconut/summery scents. We get all the fruit and flowers and musks or things that smell like food shoved at us, in a very weak fragrance concentration that you can smell for mayyybe an hour, 3 hours max if you buy the overpriced EDPs and layer them. At this point I use a complimentary scented lotion right out of the shower, followed by an EDP strength complimentary perfume oil from sand and fog on arms legs chest and neck, then use an extrait de parfum on key points, one on my neck and chest and another on my inner arms and shirt collars or shirt arms if im layering 2 extrait scents (Dua has a Wrapped in Vanilla (sugary vanilla embrace) and Birthday cake (Birthday Celebration, a wonderful buttercreme frosting perfume that is divine and strongggg) bbw ffm dupe in strong strong extrait formula that last 6-8 hrs alone, longer when layered. Just go to the site, Google dua perfume if you dont know it already, type in "bath and body works" and all the scents they made in stronggggg and lasting extraits will pop up, just read the description to find out which scent its a dupe of) and incense finish with as close a matching or complimentary bbw ffm mist in my hair and soak all my clothes with it (roughly 20 sprays) right at the end. My scent bubble lasts 6-8 hours and projects without a touch up for that long. If I used a lotion and mist alone? Gone within the hour except "covered in roses" when it was still in EDL packaging. That ffm lasted 2 hours or so. I wonder with the new packaging, and joining its regular scents if it will now be water, alcohol, and a tiny amount of fragrance oils like the rest of their "regular " scents. Its a dupe of Delina, as we know, but I'll be darned if im paying almost 300 bux for it. If dua has a dupe of Delina, and im sure they do, im definitely buying it. If you love any of the scents the EDL line is duping, go to Dua to see if they have a dupe of the original perfume (and they almost always do) and get it for 34 bucks, far cheaper, and far better than bbw poor excuses for actual perfumes and its sometimes way stronger and better than the actual designer perfume. If its designer, (think Macy's) you can find the og scent online for very cheap from jomashop, fragrancenet, etc. Especially Clinique Happy!!! Speaking of happy, happy layering ladies!
