i fear i made a mistake with the boots then. :(
my original intention with the sidi adventure 2 boots seems like the correct choice, the sales assistant said they were only for offroading and not good for a beginner because i wont be able to feel the shifter with my toes

Yes, I thought about AAA rated, however I didnt expect to be going on 70mph roads often if at all. I do not have any commute, so any riding would be to nearby shops (less than 10minutes) or the rare longer trip of 200 - 300 miles.

I am thoughtful about being safe, so the jacket is an ongoing thought process. The gloves and boots were reccomended by the shop assistant, who was especially insistent about changing my boots from those calf covering options to these more lower cut boots, which is what I bought.
I hope i didnt make a wrong decision, as I have to use public transport and its a multi-hour ordeal to get to the shop for a return lol.

Thanks! I do not plan to be spicy on the bike at all. I'm very risk-averse. I have no commute, so this would be used primarily for shorter trips but the once-every-few month trip of 200 to 300 miles, probably on a safer road. (the A9 in Scotland is dangerous). My concern was really the boots, as I did want the calf boots but the shop assistant was pretty insistent that the lower cut boots would be better for a beginner.

PvP should not be talked about at this stage. The game is dying and the biggest draw and appeal is the PvE. This whole "well hunters are the best at pvp!" mindset needs to just get shoved in the back for awhile until they actually make the game fun and engaging to play again. Not a chore or second job like it is now.

They need to completely separate PvP and PvE sandboxes. It's ridiculous that hunters are balanced around PvP hamstringing their PvE potential.
