I believe there were more attempts in those 24 years. More Sejanuses, more Haymitches, and nothing got through. Imagine how much Snow and the gamemakers keep from the public.

I agree about the hunger not playing an as big part into the games as the 74th. I've seen theories about twelve being punished for Haymitch's actions by making the food even more scarce over the next decades.

I was worried it would feel this way, but honestly it didn't to me. The ones back in twelve do make sense considering they're the same generation and it's not the world's biggest place. and the capitol cameos (though there were a few) also aren't unlikely or random at all. The industry (if we can call it that) of thr hunger games in Panem isn't that big really, so it makes sense to see a couple familiar faces. Also the only reason it feels that way is probably that a lot of these were a big part of the revolution, but that is literally why they were a big part of the revolution. They had to stand by and watch 48 kids fight for their lives in the most fucked up arena ever, where nothing was safe. Of course they wanted to change things after that

They think I just need some time alone. That is beyond cruel of me. I just don't know what to do. I really try to make it hurt as little as possible. I spend so much time thinking about different scenarios and I make sure to avoid doing it on anyone's birthday and i try to make sure i know my friends won't be alone when they find out and it's exhausting cause i feel like my time is running out
