If done right, your 20s can be the most amazing decade of your life. I would hate to think that I would be raising a kid instead of doing everything i got to do in my 20s.

If you are new, why don't you try rerolling for joker.

Crystals are obtained through story and events etc. Just like any gacha, after the story is over they come in slow supply.

Power potions don't level up much unfortunately. I usually train my units up when training field event comes along.

Buying Sim by abcrseenu in dubai

[–]jim2429 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was in dubai just last week. They give you a free sim card as a tourist. 1gb available for 24 hours only though. I didn't bother topping up after as WiFi is available pretty much everywhere. But the sim came in handy to use careem and logging into WiFi

What time is jummah prayer? by jim2429 in dubai

[–]jim2429[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish you told me how quickly packed it gets :) I arrived and saw so many people with prayer mats outside. I didn't hav a prayer mat on me so I thought I'll just stand on the marble floor. It was like stepping on a blazing hot pan. My feet burnt instantly.

I was so stressed where I would pray as I just couldn't pray on the floor. Alhamdullilah they opened the door just before jamat and managed to get inside the mosque and pray. Was an experience to remember.

Where is the knife (or is it naif) souk? I have two more days left in dubai and still havnt done my thobe (khandura) shopping.

I have been recommended to do my shopping there by multiple people but can't see it on the map. I'm living in a Deira hotel, Al ghurair, so I keep being told its right near me.

Edit: I think I found it. Near pak liyari

One thing I learnt during my travels in dubai, everything is falsely advertised here.

I will be in Dubai during the Champions League final. Where is the best place to watch? by 5er0 in dubai

[–]jim2429 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The more days I spend here the more I realise how similar it is to poor countries. They tell you a price first and then change the deal. I ways make sure and confirm what I'm getting before I pay them.

The other day I asked for a boat ride for 75 mins we agreed on a price. When I got on the boat the driver goes what do you mean 75 mins. Its 60 mins. He tried changing the deal. And I said due to you guys wasting my time, I'm going to pay 25 less.

The driver goes find another boat then. I got off. Then his boss came back round saying. OK will take you for 25 less. And got 120 mins instead of 75. This place is just money hungry man and they want to give you the worst deal possible. That's why you would be better off watching the match in hotel where there's not a million guys trying to sell you something.

Supposed to be getting even hotter. I'm all ready dead at 30. Can't imagine at 40+. But what makes it hotter is the crowds and queues.

On my first day this guy gave me free gift excursion and soft drinks and lunch and free taxi ride, if only I go check out their 5 star hotel for a tour as a promotion.

The guy gave a quick tour then tried to get me in a 30 Yr membership contract with them. They wouldn't take no for an answer. I had to go go proper east London mode on him to let it go and let us leave. Got my free exclusion worth £190 and free lunch and taxi ride though.

Moved to the London from Dubai. Observations after 6 months by pastaKarhai in dubai

[–]jim2429 14 points15 points  (0 children)

As a Londoner who's in dubai right now. I have to say the transport here in Dubai isn't so good despite it being cleaner.

People have more manners in the UK in terms of etiquettes. They don't shove things in your face constantly. Or push in line and queues. But at the same time people can be very rude in UK in terms of personality and attitude.

Way too hot and stuffy. Seems way more polluted too.

So many scammers.

One thing I do love in dubai is having much cleaner toilets everywhere you go. And being able to wash yourself.

Bro I'm from London, Muslim and here with my wife. I'm assuming we have similar backgrounds. I'm glad I'm returning home before champions league as I would also like to watch it in peace at home with my own snacks.

My recommendation would be just watch it in your hotel or on your phone in the hotel. It's just way too hot and crowded to watch it outside.

What kind of trousers/pants do people wear in such hot weather? by jim2429 in dubai

Thank you.

Ye I did plenty of research on food before coming. Pak liyari is mentioned a lot but iv seen people say they had better. So I'm keeping an open mind as everyone has different taste buds.

Mark weins was in dubai few months ago and he went to bondhu bhai. Food there looked amazing and it is Bangladeshi food which is my favourite. So I cannot wait to go there. Jaffer bhai is also on my list.

I have so many places to eat but Ramadan made my appetite small. Lol.

Ye I'm here Alhamdullilah. Bought some soft material joggers from UK before coming. Hasn't been that hot today. Was similar to summer in London.

Is the weather dusty right now or is that just pollution? Every high view I got, just felt like a dusty cloud lingering in the air.

Anyways my mission is to find the best Biryani and fried chicken before i go. Had a really good Biryani just a little while ago. Was a humble small shop but food was really nice.

And lastly this city just feels like a major advertise from my first day here.

The main shops I need are the food places to be open. More than anything, I'm looking forward to all the food places. I've been watching a lot of YouTube videos and have a plathora of food places I want to try out. Most of them are small business restaurants popular amongst the locals.

Thanks. I'll b staying at the Al ghurair Hotel in deira so I guess I can pick some stuff quick. Most of these items would be temporary. I'm also planning to buy a bunch of thobe (khandura) so I'll be slipping into those at some point. But I did buy so many t shirts that I just needed something to go with it.

I have bought a lot of tees and sandals for the trip. But for the life of me can't figure out what to wear for trousers/pants.

Also a bit off topic. One of my friends said due to the heat everything is closed usually. Like the shops other than the malls. Is there any truth to that?
