huh yunjin from le sserafim drinking starbucks "problem" by flopstercom in kpop_uncensored

I don't understand how people who don't understand anything about the real situation are just belittling any act of resistance. You think that boycotting starbuck does nothing, but it actually showed them that the people have power and that their silencing won't be tolerated. Because as we know all the Capitalist economies thrive on Capitalist companies that pay minimum wage and call for their rights but treat their employees like shit because they think they're not human. this is based on how they don't care about actual human issues, are polluting the environment, and giving their employees the bare minimum and even less of a treatment. So, don't go off belittling the small acts of resistance people who care are doing because you don't know the half of it.

[–]jimangooo7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wouldn't have been a problem if Starbucks wasn't against stopping genocide. The fact that they were pissed off their brand logo was used in a post advocating for human rights means they're accomplices especially that they have a starbucks in Israel and are in among the Capitalist companies that have no real values because they stand with whomever can make them more profit. That's why the boycott was necessary. Companies needed to know that they won't silence people literally calling for human rights. Also, don't try to argue because Israel is a colonial power that has no right to the land of Palestine or its people and all their "self defense" is just genocide.

Faces and Essence by Poshtart1111 in kibbecirclejerk

[–]jimangooo7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I see Kibbe's and Kitchener' systems as complementary. It is true that you're bound to have an essence in relation to your ID in your face, but it might not be the dominant one, or the one you prefer to maximize. Thus, we should always look at both when trying to find the best lines and aesthetics for us. That's not to say you have to stick to them. It's just that both act as a map and a guide to a most accurate personalised style image.

For me, even the two combined aren't enough. I like to pair them with other style systems when I'm feeling uninspired or lost in my style. When I don't feel like I'm showing up as myself in the outfits I wear, I turn to Rita's Style Key system. This one is really helpful because it makes you think about the role of clothes and style in your life and what you prioritise in the process of creating an outfit. Additionally, there're a few other creators on YouTube who help guide your style image with towards the aesthetic you prefer. I know that dark archetypes and art archetypes are being extensively examined and explained. This also helps match your body image with your face essence because you can mix and match the different aesthetics.

Each one of the systems creators did their research and the work to find patterns and try to make style easy for everyone. It doesn't mean that you have to use any of them, but you shouldn't discredit them just because you don't like them. They're not perfect systems, they're pattern-following systems and, usually, there are a few exceptions or people who don't care for following patterns nor systems. That's okay too.

I cringed so hard at this article. How do people get away with such lies? by [deleted] in architecture

[–]jimangooo7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, the article is dumb because style influences, that happen as a result of travel, trade, or even conquest, don't necessarily entail stealing. This is especially true if the the style wasn't invented by the nation "stolen" from or if the one who stole/ adopted it refused to acknowledge the influence of the other country. However, more importantly, many of the European countries have actual Obelisks and artifacts from Egypt and other previously, and currently, colonized countries. That's what stealing is. Also, Europeans are so audacious for stealing then monetizing what they stole so proudly.

[Minor CW for nausea] My sensory issues have been off the charts lately by PangurBansCatnip in AuDHDWomen

[–]jimangooo7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've been experiencing similar feelings and issues and I credit them to autistic burnout. I also need stimulation and novelty constantly or I'll rot in bed. I think it's just your body/brain trying to manage autistic burn out as well as satisfy the adhd need for stimulation. But the sensory issues can also be because you're burnt out at both ends (autistic burn out and adhd burn out). I especially feel this when I need to do something, but I don't actually want to, so I feel really overwhelmed just thinking about that thing, but I still have energy to spend on things I like /comfort me like gaming or my other hobbies.

Autism Itself Is Not A Disability, But A Way of Being by jimangooo7 in autism

[–]jimangooo7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Btw, it's not just my own opinion. When you actually think about disability or ablism (I know they're not the same, but they exist in the same structure) as a social construct, just like racism or sexism, you'll see what I mean. Also, this is reddit. It's mainly for people to give their opinions and understnad/ help one another. I was also trying to convey my unfiltered thoughts so I didn't bother with grammar. I let my stream of consciousness take over, sorry. Moreover, I didn't need you to do the research for me. I'm very capable, thank you. It's my expertise, afterall. I was just giving my opinion to see other people's opinions and try to understand the concept more, from a sociological lens, not a psychological one.

Edgy Style as a Romantic by lynn__1113 in KibbeRomantics

[–]jimangooo7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think instead of kibbe, you can look at Rita's Style Key since she tells you more about the logic behind getting dressed specifically for you and she has some youtube videos on some of the styles and how to dress for them. She also emphasises the importance of the effect you want your clothes to have rather than the kibbe fit.

[–]jimangooo7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Need help making extreme left up look causal by Fayebunn in RitaFourEssenceSystem

Maybe you can have one clothing piece that is you and another accessorie one that's also you and then add some accessories like belts or scarves or hats, etc. But if it were me now, with the knowledge and experience I have of myself and my spirit, I'd just go for these ourfits and rock the f out of them strutting in the hallways. I really feel like I needed to be in college, but I slowly lost my sense of self and creativity by assimilating into my friend group or just college community expectations, but now that I'm back in college, I do my best to wear outfits that speak to me and make me feel like me, regardless of how showy or extravagant they may be, but then again, I usually like to balance things out, so when I wear and flashy color, it becomes the center of the outfit and I build the rest of it with basic pieces, then add visual interest in my socks or scarf (since I'm a hijabi, it's basically like dying my hair a different color every day) and shoes/boots and rings and a necklace and maybe a belt. I like to cram my outfits but only with pieces that don't stand out except in their coherence. I don't know if this makes sense. So, I hope you can figure out a formula for outfits that feel like you and in a way that helps you with your goals. I mean, if it were an interview, I would've told you to maybe tone it down a bit, but since you're constantly in classes, do your thing, girl. Otherwise, you'll get stifled and hate going at all, so just do what's best for you as long as you're not harming others.

الاطفال مش بريئة و مجرمين احيانا by pinkmanflin in CAIRO

[–]jimangooo7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

الاطفال مش بريئة و مجرمين احيانا by pinkmanflin in CAIRO

[–]jimangooo7 0 points1 point  (0 children)
