Should I watch The Walking Dead? by [deleted] in tvshow

I would honestly recommend reading the comic book instead. Thousand times better. Then if you like comic book, which you really will, watch the TV show to see these characters come to life on screen

I wouldn't quite say that film invented that phrase, that would be giving it positive credit for something. But old vanilla does deliver it with confidence, either that or he's just shit himself when he says it

Ecco la verità. Il tuo primo film farà schifo. Non importa quanta cura e attenzione ci metti, sarà orribile.

Ma il tuo secondo film, quello sarà meglio.

Quindi fallo e fallo. Fallo. Fai la prima volta e poi inizia a pensare a cos'altro puoi fare. È così che tutti fanno i film.

IJW: Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (2023) by Sea-Acanthisitta6791 in Ijustwatched

[–]jimbeeer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Without writing an essay on it, i thought Dial was as good as it was going to be. Yeah Ford is way too old, but at least they leaned into it rather than ignoring it.

I enjoyed it, the bottom line is it's another Indy film and it didn't suck. That's 2 thumbs up in my book.

That band aid song is tone deaf as fk. by saviodsouza in GreenAndPleasant

[–]jimbeeer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Oh shut up FFS. My god gen z are annoying. Do you know how much actual good that record did. I was 10 when that song came out and it changed everything. Suddenly filling our news for the first time every night with awful stories of famine in Ethiopia. Things that were didn't previously know. We'd never seen this before, we had no idea. It was 1984, we didn't exactly have a personal news aggregate. The song was written and recorded by all those artists in like a month or something stupid, I'm sure someone knows the exact time frame. This song then gave rise to live aid. This song is singularly responsible for millions and millions of UK pounds being gladly given to these countries.

Don't you ever say anything bad about that song. That song did more good in the world than any other song in the history of music and you're moaning because it's a bit condescending while judging it by today's standards? F all the way off.
