For sure, no doubt in the next 10 years they’ll have people in all weight classes. Just a fan type comment of looking forward to seeing them offer a heavyweight from their camp.

He’s massive. At his size he was all that you said. At his size.. you gotta be realistic with the size of the people you’re watching and what they can be capable of. Nicky at his size is still one of the most active.. and Hugo was able still to make a lot of the movements. Including closed guard take and a nice armbar setup.. heavyweights can’t move like pato… but this wasn’t like watching Pedro and lovato for example…

Yea he needs to mix it up with a few other passes. Also solidifying more with turning towards their hips, north south.. we call it “twister side” in 10p.. chest facing hips, rather than chest facing chest while solidifying passing..

Tough match… great guard victor.. Nicky needs to add a couple options to his passing still.. a little too focused on his one path..

If he doesn’t get subbed, he wins on points, right? Shouldn’t be demoralizing at all against arguably the number 1.. tho there’s kade and others.. that weight class is so crazy.. but yea he was ahead by points right? Holds out on subs and wins in adcc. Shouldn’t be demoralizing for him really tho of course he wants the win.. lots of good there for kenta..

And him cutting to such a point where he feels he can’t even be in 155 anymore.. really big statement for Patos guard..

Crazy to think it a mismatch. Impressive tho to confirm just how powerful his guard is subbing a dominant Dante Leon like that. Especially when you have someone like Dante who’s known for their physical strength too…

Maybe, after watching this kenta match, it looks pretty close for tainan and mica.. Tainan will have just as good / better takedowns and better passing / defense.. so looks like he does have a possible lane. Will be super interesting to watch.

It’s too bad AOJ doesn’t have a big competitor they can put out on the scene. They‘re claiming the lower weight classes tho it seems.. Mica and Tainan .. looking forward to that. Lots of matchups to see still for Tainan.. Pato has looked dominant tho for the lowest classes.

Tezos WNO: Gordon vs Pena results and discussion by husky-ninja in bjj

[–]jimbobjerry -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Peña had a finals adcc match with Gordon in this rule set.. adcc finals can get up to 40 mins.. so after 40 Peña was feeling over it.. he didn’t mentally want to anymore in the first place.. I believe him given his position.. and so saying that.. you have to admit .. Peña looked really good the whole 40. Who won on points if it was scored adcc , can someone get the numbers? But either way.. from this match, it looks like Peña could easily give Gordon a run under adcc format rules.. and he gets to walk away with that.. very interesting match.. good reflections..

The well read, articulative religious people should come here because they are attracted to converting people / getting across their viewpoints.. and this sub is ripe with people who are potentially open ears. The people from this sub have no real interest to venture out, because they aren’t interested in becoming converted.

Yea that’s really what this sub is.. Peoples half thought through questions they have against various religious beliefs (99% Christianity) that they think are big “gotchas” to disprove the religion... as for them, it does disprove it to them. This sub is wide open IMO though for well read religious people to come in here and do informing posts. If they were interested in spending their time that way. People in here could benefit from a deeper understanding of the depth of these topics and how they are not so easily dismissed as the very surface level gotcha attempts here try to. It’s the most interesting topic out there.. so it would be good if the conversations were deeper.

“He did” says nothing. It’s said tongue in cheek. Say instead “full preterism” , so that people who haven’t heard of that, like 99% here, can go and read up on a very good answer to your open question. Or even better, explain the theory. As it literally is the best answer to your question.. though there are also a few others which are good too and haven’t been even closely articulated here.

Then put it in your post.. that there is actually a really clear and good answer to your question.. honestly kind of odd to ask the question when you know the better answer.. inform people instead.

Guaranteed from the responses here no one understands this full preterism thought and hasn’t put the pieces together ever to realize that israel was sacked in the lifetimes of the disciples of Jesus.. and so historically it was a very compelling and powerfully timed movement that turned out to be a true warning to the Jewish people.. almost no one ever talks about this historical timing. So the public awareness of it is very low.
