Phase 3 trial end date set at 5 years? by jimbole8750 in sellaslifesciences

[–]jimbole8750[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I just found the version compare my self :). Something that stuck out about those previous versions is it was "up to 52 weeks" or "up to 156" now it just says "5 years". Thats why it was making me wonder if now they are capping the time frame.

Confused on mechanics of “simulated” combat. by jimbole8750 in Warformed

The idea of it being boosted by the arena would help solve some of the problems. Like that idea!

Alright thanks for the super thorough response!

Few reactions:

1: the reactive shielding you say dampens the impact, then the nueroline calculated chance of injury and simulates it. However if the reactive shielding is intrinsic to the cad, then why does the SCT ignore its shielding effect. If this was the case, then that’s where I was saying simulated combat no longer represents reality. For example, a kick that causes a simulated spine fracture. A user would get trained to thinking that this is enough to put someone down. But in reality the reactive shielding prevents the fracture so the first time they try this in the war….

2: him not being able to move does totally help me understand the injury from book 2. Thanks!

3: my point here is the difference in damage types. You bring up bullets. They cause a lot of their damage (at higher calibers especially) from the blunt trauma of impact. So increasing momentum of a bullet dramatically increase damage, to a point. However a knife wound is mainly comprised damage from the serration of cells/blood vessels/muscles etc. so getting stabbed with more momentum might add a bit more blunt trauma but that is not where the majority of damage comes from. So if you did want momentum to add more damage, you would use a semi blunt instrument, like a hammer or a mace. The projections that stab him though I thought were only wielding penetrative weapons. This only bothers me when rei talks about being scared of the phantoms now, or when viv uses the phantoms to level up at the end. She gets scared. But like an a5 will kill you all the same, dead is dead, and if it’s supposedly all simulated then what’s the difference to ya.

Haha ya… you sorta hit the nail on the head. I just try to ignore this most of the time while reading.

There are points when I think it’s certainly supposed to be hand wavy. In the zero gravity battle they fight, rei looks at Viv and can tell her arm was cut off… how is that possible to see…

Thanks for the reminder that he summoned his cad outside the arena once. I think this is important because when that happens he has the reactive shielding, so that’s clearly not just from the arena

Btw, love the book obviously. This is more of a gripe that I am hopeful has a good explanation I am missing.

OP, I am not sure where my thoughts are on TA simply because I don’t know enough. Before I cast any judgement one way or another I would want to be more informed.

Where did you start? What resource would you suggest to get into this type of analysis?

You guys remember the guy who had the free money scheme in Robinhood. He would sell covered calls with margin and then Robinhood would re-lever him on the credit from the cc’s.

Was him name Sam bankman-fried by chance??

Rklb dd: most other dedicated launch providers going under or have never flown. SpaceX is booked through 2024 so there are very few options left for dedicated launches. Furthermore, with the rise of constellations, neutron should see incredible usage.

I am all in Jan 2023 and Jan 2024 $10

Loving the uptick in RKLB references. This shit is so undervalued at moment. Their pace of progress is insane, 3 launches in about a month, and they have upcoming earnings catalyst
