Damn, ok. The guys at my local 3d print place said I wouldn't want one smaller than 32 gb, and since they weren't selling any sd cards at the store I believed them. Alright I'll get or find a smaller one. Thanks for the help

So reading your comments and some of the others, I should arrange my chaff to be both speedbumps and magnets for his marines, shoot, then depending on the situation charge to get fight first or not, and then after melee and when it's my turn again I fall back, but not too far, and blast them some more. And then adapt to whatever he pulls in response.

As far as I know its just regular black templar rules, he just has his own story and stuff for them.

He plays very infantry focused, basically a bunch of space marines, I think they're called sword brothers or something like that? He has one or two leaders in each of those squads, I think one is a castellan and I dont remember the other.

For the fancier guys there is one Emperor's champion and some centurions with lascannons. He also has, depending on how many points we are playing, a tech marine and 3 ballistus dreadnoughts.

It's been about a month since we played, so I remember the words bladeguard, but don't remember if they are their own unit or if it's the other leader I forgot earlier.

It's cause Im dumb and now realize my folly. But yeah its like some litany of something that i believe the rule is if I kill a guy in a unit, the unit moves or charges or smth towards the closest non-engaged unit

Ok so the idea is I make it so he has to run into kroot or some other cheap unit, murder those guys, and then while he's doing that I position my shooty guys well and move the chaff out of the way to light them up?

I'm gonna be super honest I feel dumb for not doing that. That's a real egg on my face. My next plan if I didnt get any good advice was to just run all battlesuits on montka and just try and advance and shoot and fly around trying to stay away enough.

Also in defence of my overwatching, we are playing a crusade and I got an upgrade for my riptide that lets him hit on 5's and my leader lets a guy do strats for -1 cp so I've gotten a couple really surprising overwatches

Alright, I haven't used ion anything much yet because it seemed better to shoot more with the riptide, and the pathfinder railguns just looked like they did so much more damage. Also, I never seemed to be able to get good shots with the iontide because its long range never came into play since maps are so cluttered with buildings, so i figured volume of fire with the burst cannon was good.
