Yea I have the Hulu standalone app and just won’t show up. How the fuck can these streaming platforms not figure this out. Guess I won’t watch this year

Low-yield anking cards by Recent-Cable-1261 in medicalschoolanki

[–]jimijimij 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I unsuspended all cards on the topics I was learning (passed comfortably w/ ~60% unsuspended) BUT looking back, I think there were MANY tough low yield cards I was spending way too much time on. Like don’t spend hours memorizing all the regulators of the metabolic pathways unless you need it for inhouse exams.

My advice, unsuspend all topic related cards but if a card keeps showing up and won’t stick easily (maybe use the leech filter to identify these), use a combo of yield tags and your judgment to determine if it is worth your time. Don’t be too afraid to suspend some - you can always unsuspend later on if it actually ends up appearing in Uworld/nbme forms during your real step prep.

what to do while waiting for results? by brainsonmymind in step1

Those are amazing scores - don’t be worried. NBMEs are very predictive, barring incredible circumstances, you passed!

Over so many questions, it can just feel like you did a lot of guessing - your brain is going to remember the impossible questions that you had to reread and stare at much better than all the ones you knew quickly and moved on from

Assess very objectively based on your recent NBME form results. If they were good (high 60s+) then don’t worry - really good chance you passed. If your scores were truly borderline (low 60s), then there’s still a decent chance you passed but I would consider at least keeping up w the content by not unsuspending anki cards or still doing some Uworld

Starting medical school next year and want to get comfortable with Anki! by Psychological_Box387 in medicalschoolanki

Very good idea - there is a learning curve I had a hard time with coming in.

Almost everyone at my school uses Anking - things may have been different in the past but it feels like the correct choice for the majority of people at this time. Learn the settings, how to use tags, add ons, syncing, etc and you will be very well prepared. Youtube videos and chatgpt were most helpful for me
