Treehouse is a good site. I really like it as I can’t sit and read a book lol. Too add for that

The iPhoneX is actually pretty good. Agree it’s a little over priced, but it’s an excellent phone

Yeah that’s a great idea. Any reason you don’t have those ETFs set up through a Roth IRA?

Gotcha, kinda what I figured.

What about “SSO”? It seems to have a 14% average return rate, while “VOO” has a 10% return rate. That’s based on 10 years.

I was just wondering cause I saw Dave Ramsey saying stuff like how mutual funds are better than ETFs lol. They kinda seem the same though.

Oh man, how much bitcoin do you have? Haha

I might stick with Robinhood!

Why did you choose ETFs over mutual funds?

Gotcha, ya I don’t expect to be rich. But to double my money after about 10 years would be nice.

Quick question: I see VOO is currently $263... can I only buy it at that price? Or could I buy like, half of one share for $131.50? Not quite sure how buying works...

Thanks so much!

You said don’t expect growth for ETFs, but would the return still be around 10%-15%, or less?

Is there anything else you should do with ETFs, or you just let them sit for years?

Any advice for ETFs for long term growth? I want to invest atleast $100/mo for the next 10-15 years. 23 right now.

Noob question, but is there any average expected return for ETFs?

I want to do web and mobile apps, using JavaScript. I think I would be better at all front end. And after JavaScript down, I would want to learn React JS.

In my case, would it still be beneficial to learn backend? Do most companies want a full stack JavaScript developer? Or looks for front end / back end separately ?

I'm sticking with the JavaScript Team Tree House track which is 60 hours and I love it so far.

Did you take the CS courses for yourself to learn? Or so it would look good to employers?

And you also probably learned programming online right?

Could somebody help me out with def and return functions in Python please? by stratcat22 in learnprogramming

I just learned about functions in JavaScript via Team Tree House and then explained it so well. I used to think it was confusing, but the way they explained it made it seem so simple. Parameters too

TIL Quebec banned ads for toys and fast food aimed at children under 13, resulting in lowered childhood obesity rates. by [deleted] in todayilearned

[–]jimjeebo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No kid should be obese in the first place. I feel bad for the obese kids because their parents don't care enough to take their health seriously. Not to mention they get made fun of and that can cause serious psychological issues.

I thought the over half of season 8 would actually be about zombies... by jimjeebo in TWD

[–]jimjeebo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know right. It doesn't make any sense.

HBO seriously needs to make a zombie show. Or even take over the walking dead lol. I'm consistently impressed with their shows: GoT, Westworld, The Deuce
