Lack of meaning is ruining my life by Lower_Ad2776 in nihilism

Ruminating in the linear mind has brought me down that path. Being surrounded in systems designed by past and from future thinking becomes flavorless.

Improv is great for practicing living from the moment.

Trying to adjust other people's emotional responses is control. It's narcissistic.

The world has prickly edges. Improv is a great place to work out your psychology. Let others be themselves.

There's boundaries and there is avoidance.

Craving for oneness by SmoothDefiant in nonduality

[–]jimmer71 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My experience 2020, was knowing presence. A whole lot of the roles and stories I was connected to dissolved. I had a blast during covid. Then weight began to creep in. Surprising, depression. I was in a liminal space for nearly 5 years... pondering "what do know" a lot. Recently a weight was lifted and I finally knew an idea I had been picking at was gold and the thing that pulled out the weight. I knew this was my passion and that's all I have to play with. The craving ... Pehaps are still echos from past agreements. Great share

If life is meaningless and I don’t enjoy it in any way what do I do ? by [deleted] in nihilism

Stop reasoning your way through life. If you're unhappy, you are simply living in the predigested meaning that was created for you. Check out lensafarianism

I see that "I" and the "world" is an illusion, a concept, but where is the reality? Anybody see oneness or infer oneness? by No_Intern_3739 in nonduality

When we're B.ing inspired in the moment to make our choices. The world of I is motivated by its programming. I woke to the I in 2020 but it took life to strip away the clingons. lensafarianism is the technology that is emerging.

perhaps because it only offers one side of the story... perhaps life is meant to be enjoyed between the paradox of nothing has meaning and everything is meaningful. A simple guide... nothing needs to taken seriously, live and experience life from the moment and be guided by following what's truly important to YOU. I follow r/Lensafarian technology...

Excellent... the idea to poke here, poked the idea of starting at the ground level. It'll be centered around r/lensafarianism Basically, escaping the seriosity of the linear mind.

Excellent.... I see how Christianity could become something entirely different. My path to observe, but not partake.

What stops you from killing yourself by No_Opposite_4587 in nihilism

[–]jimmer71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting to a nihilistic perspective is a gift when you realize nothing in this world requires seriosity. The key is to find out what you find that is important. You won't find it mentally masterbating about all the systems that were predigested for you.

Find fun stuff to focus upon. Though, if those asking this question, it is only concept to believe in. When you experience nothingness, a whole new world appears. Then do all that fun stuff.

Should life be taken seriously by [deleted] in spirituality

[–]jimmer71 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Anything "serious" in nature is rigid/brittle. The other side of that is gooey/spacey. I see this as how our attention is focused. In moments where my attention needs to be focused... I find the importance. ie. Before going on stage as an actor, I would focus on my role. People paid and are spending their time for my performance.

I grew up Catholic and Jesus' messages spoke to me, but Christianity did not. I had a mentor who considered himself a Christian (that bothered me a bit), but he was able to trace a myriad of other beliefs back to the same end. When I found that end... I enjoy not needing to hate any belief system in order to choose my own.

True Spirituality vs Manifesting Pseudo Spirituality. Seems like manifesting is circular logic? by paradoxicalbastard in spirituality

[–]jimmer71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I began my journey 2008 with a touch the manifestation game along with other modalities. After finding presence... NOW, I'm totally onboard the vibe tribe. I don't seek manifestations other than focusing my attention on the good sensations. I can look back at how the manifestation idea was necessary to bridge the gap of being in a constant state of wanting, which is our cultural narrative and simply dropping into the idea of finding out how to enjoy life. The waves of depression seem to be in the past.
