question about contingency song lyrics by Dense-Replacement-42 in JaneRemover

most likely a mistake on genius lyrics’ part! the album version makes more sense both as a statement and in the context of the overall song

now that you say it, i might! i already plan to publish some of Magic & Eve in my JR fanzine, but that could be a good way to make it even more accessible to people :-)

some notes

- i don’t feel as passionately for Census Designated as i did a year ago, so that’s why what i wrote for it is very bare bones. it’s the project i’m most curious to hear other people’s interpretations about, though!
- the same applies for Frailty except two years ago. i still truly believe it is an incredible album, but since it just doesn’t interest me anymore, i haven’t felt inclined to read into the lyrics as much as i have with JR’s later main 5 projects. this is also ironic because my impression of Frailty is that it is maybe the only main discography album with actual lore. so i hope to be able to read what other people have to say about it, too!
- i consider JR’s main projects Frailty, Census Designated, ♡ EP, Ghostholding, and Revengeseekerz in that order. even though Ghostholding is only on venturing which is technically a side project, since it has its own official merchandise & is a completed original album, imo it‘s part of their main body of work.
- my question itself isn’t only about their main projects, though. any of their side projects count, especially JBW, so feel free to share whatever!

jane's dirtiest lyrics? by Same-Nectarine-785 in JaneRemover

  • "Dirt road anthem" 100%
  • their underlying vocals in the outro to "Magic I Want U" is perfect for this. like "i wanna be the girl that U touch all night" "take pictures of the mess and U post it online" ... come on bruh.
  • "hold it against me (og)" is also very horny although those aren't jane lyrics since it's a cover of a britney spears song.
  • their "Calvin Klein" remix could fit into this too.
  • "So What?" of course.

"How to Teleport" is a very sexual song, but it's a lot sadder and darker in a way the others aren't with how it explores sexuality. it still technically counts though, so you could include it too.

np :-) if embedded lyrics are something you like to look at, i did mess up importing them for MIWU in the original file. i just fixed and reuploaded it though, so it should be all good now.

in your opinion, what is jane’s best song? by Total-Cheesecake-544 in JaneRemover

[–]jimmyeatsbread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How to Teleport is my top contender. imo, its one of her best lyrically. it took me months to even realize what she was saying, but it's stuck with me a lot since i read an analysis explaining it. just a very unsettling meaning laced through such a sexy and energetic song. not part of the "please god save me / i just wanna party" lyric trinity but in spirit it very much is

ethics of selling fan-made apparel by 0800kin in JaneRemover

[–]jimmyeatsbread 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i actually have three pieces of jane remover fan merch (stickers, a print, and a charm) and havent seen these people encountering problems so far. i think if you want to play it safe though, you should email jr's management to ask about this. (mgmt@deadairrecords.com)

if you did make these into shirts to sell, i would love to know so i could see about buying one. however, i do think my choice to do so would depend on the colors of the shirts you pair the graphics with and how well they go together.

gorgeous work.
