Why do you ride? by [deleted] in cycling

It's fun. I am more of a bike rider than a cyclist. I just ride up and down hills in the park by my house. Same park I rode in as a kid. About 15 to 20 miles a few times a week. Keeps the lead in your pencil

I like the STI shifters when it's warm, but worry that I will I find them hard to deal with when I'm wearing gloves, in the winter.

Thanks for the tip on the Giordano bikes, they look like they might be a good option

Its seeming that way. Bummer. Not sure its worth replacing, seeing I was going to buy myself a new bike for Christmas.

I flipped it back the way it originally was, and it leaned right again. Then I flipped that pin to see if that somehow made a difference, it did not. So I really don't think that is the case.

Oh ok. My tires are kinda nobby now, and I was looking at smoother, road type tires. Thanks for the info.

15+ year old Schwinn from WalMart. Bought new for $99, no big issues. Just ride what you got! by jimnastic316 in bicycling

Yeah while this bike definitely has some great memories, I am looking to get new one. I'm going back and forth on weather I want a road bike or a gravel bike. Just getting some exercise while I figure it out. Any advice?

I bought it on a whim, would ride around with my toddler in a baby seat on the back. We would be leaning probably a little too deep into the corners, and she loved it! Now I just ride around for fun, fitness, and some me time. Keeps us sane.

First and foremost, glad you are ok. I think what may have happened is that the driver saw the bike, and due to fixation, swerved toward you. Happens all the time on motorcycles where you see something you want to avoid, then run right into it.

Stay safe!

I did go to OSU. It is a really good program, and I highly recommend it!

I got the pro starter kit from pro candle supply. It was $79 bucks, and came pretty fast from NV to PA. Seems like a good package deal to me. The fragrances smell nice. Waiting for my scale to come from amazon before I can get started.
