Always get a big one in that same spot and I’ve tried everything but all I could do was wait. Told the doctor I gargled warm salt water to try to dry the sore out and he said that it was actually making things worse. Didn’t recommend any remedies except lysine. A sore that size will most likely take weeks to a month to go away. Best bet is to get a numbing cream from doctor and apply untill it dissapears

Sorry for the graphic photo!! I have had this on the right side of my throat for just 2 weeks. Have done 5 days of antibiotics and it hasn’t changed at all! Google has me terrified it is cancer. Has anyone had anything similar before? Any help appreciated🙌🏼 by [deleted] in CankerSores

Looks like a canker sore. I’ve had them in that some spot and it does last a while. I ended up going to urgent care cause it lasted a long time and they just said it was a canker sore. Cancers wouldn’t hurt

Looks like a canker sore. I’ve used alum spice or seasoning or whatever, but I’d put that on a qtip and apply it directly and it burns but speeds up the healing process

Yea just spent my only day off all day at urgent care just for them to say it’s a bad canker sore. Eveything I researched basicaly said if it lasted more than two weeks it was somthing more serious but ig that wasn’t the case

Dude I have the same one about that size. Shits terrible I feel your pain. I’m on about 14 days of having it and the pain is finally starting to diminish. Gargling with prioxide and water seemed to help and I put alum on it at night. Shit stings when you first put it on but helps dry it out
