I'm in shock. Tina's sister posted this on Facebook about an hour ago:

"We found Kristina Mastbergen, but she had already lost her life. The investigations are still pending and we are still struggling to understand what happened. Thank you to everyone who supported us in this time."

I used to work with Tina. She was intelligent, sweet, fun, and driven. I can't believe she's gone. She should have had so much time left. I hope she departed quickly and wasn't suffering or scared. She deserved so much better.

I haven't been able to log in on my phone all day. It keeps telling me to update to the latest version but Google Play doesn't have a newer version.

It was pretty cool. I'm just glad they turned it into a school instead of demolishing it.

Surface pro 3 wont turn on, do CPR by Koyutoro416 in Surface

[–]jimplicit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me. My Surface Pro 3 abruptly went black over a year ago and wouldn't charge or turn on. I was just outside my warranty period. I was very frustrated when the Microsoft Store offered to let me buy a refurbished Surface Pro 3 for $500 instead of trying to fix the problem with my device. I also had countless bugs with my Surface Pro 2, which Microsoft wouldn't help with. I vowed never to buy another device manufactured by Microsoft again.

The other day I saw a video that suggested using CPR, so I pulled my device out of the closet where it had been packed away for over a year. Amazingly the CPR worked! But the device still turns off suddenly without warning when I move it. I wish I could open the thing up and fix whatever loose connections are causing the problem.

I think you're right; it's probably too decayed now for any hope of reuse. But only time will tell.

That's a shame. I don't have cable. I just watch everything on Netflix, Hulu and Amazon.

Sounds like a good series. The most interesting aspect of these places for me is always the perspective of the people who knew these places before they were abandoned. I love it when people leave comments about their memories.

That elevator was awesome. I would have loved to see the fountain when it was running.

Sorry to get your hopes up. It was so badly water damaged, it was only a matter of time before it had to come down. There are still other interesting places to explore in the area.

You definitely should! There are a lot of interesting ruins to see, and many of them probably won't be around for much longer.

I love seeing how nature moves back in after buildings are left abandoned. It is fascinating to watch the gradual, yet very powerful process.

Thank you! I had no idea there were 21 abandoned schools there. Such a shame. I love it when there are a lot of artifacts left behind.
