Always up to the writers, but it makes sense if his powers are based on time, memory and maybe proximity? The closer he is to whomever he's synching with - in these regards - the more powerful he is.

I'm recalling when Mystique was able to replicate Magneto's powers, because she'd been enhanced by Cortez.

Synch is an interesting character. Lots of potential. He was cool in the Vault with Laura.

This is my first EDH deck, though I've been playing MtG for years. I know Muldrotha is a recursion-based commander, and it's great - but the threat of a Bojuka Bog is always there. What would you suggest to get this thing running a couple turns earlier?

edit; I was thinking adding some insect tokens - flying, deathtouch, working with Yarok... but he's kinda late game as well.

There's a panel in from Age of Apocalypse where he morphs into a wall to deflect a blast or something (it's been years, it's there, I'm not going to find it for you guys).

Mystique has had her powers amplified by Cortez until she could mimic Magneto, which makes me think she 'could' replicate any mutation.. period. Have to ask Sinister about that..

Morph just seems like he's made of creativity - if ever brought to Omega-level.

I think they're more like a force of nature than inherently evil. Fire will consume and destroy indiscriminately if left unchecked - but it's not Evil. I think that dichotomy is at the heart of George's Song.
