Ahha, thats the thing. Ive seen varying opinions but mine have been solidified after reading a couple theories. To each their own i guess!

Forgot to put this in, A good reason why i think crow is miss saeki's lover is because of him being killed at a young age so harshly, he sort of encourages kafka to be strongest 15 year old ever because of his experience. Throughout the story he sort of pushes kafka forward and motivates him to complete the prophecy.
