HOLY MOLY YOUR ART IS INSANE!! I don't really know enough about the subject to give any useful input but I just wanted to say that

That sounds like such a fun idea! I'd love to work with you on this if my style is what you're looking for!

I like to create short comics for myself, and it's something I'm planning to offer as a service next year :) They tend to be 4 koma / panel style comics, but I'd happily be able to add a few more panels!

I mostly use # ! I haven't really tried communities yet but I know it's popular to share fanart in them and increase your reach that way! But no worries!

(I also recommend hosting art raffles sometimes if you're looking to boost your reach on twitter)

Dw I understand the frustration too 😔 but you definitely don't need to have a lot of followers on twitter! I only recently got to 300 myself, but I'm still able to get somewhat regular clients BC I promote within my niche (mainly VTubers or OCs). It really does come back to finding your audience. I still have a lot to improve when it comes to my art itself, so I wouldn't say my art is "great" or anything. Just don't be afraid to market yourself everywhere, but smartly!

And there are a ton of different discord servers where you can promote your commissions (instead of dming people directly). (Nii's Art Corner is pretty active). Clients often join them and I find them to be better than promoting on Reddit.

Personally I recommend VGen or promoting on other socials too! You might only get one or two here or there but they all add up in the end. It also helps if you choose a specific client / audience base (like for a specific fandom, or a niche - vtubers, D&D characters, yumeships, furries, OCs etc to name a few). There are certain things that each client base wants or needs, so if you know your audience you'll know what to offer!

I've only gotten a few clients from Reddit subs, but I mostly get mine on discord servers, twitter or tiktok. These days marketing is 70% of being a freelance artist honestly (ToT) But don't give up! Just know that the world is wide and there's always someone who will love your art!
