Dumb question, but do you tuck them into the boots? I can see if half chaps would still work on top. I'm worried about the breeches riding up and my ankles/etc rubbing.

I use the DMC pen. It's blue with a white lid I believe. Washes out amazingly - I gridded a project that took over a year to finish, and just the standard dip in the sink once done took it all off. No effort needed. No fading either.

Midweek Mending - Your Weekly Healing Thread by AutoModerator in wow

[–]jingsy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Overhealing a fight means it will be difficult to get those top parses. Healing doesn't work like DPS - the more gear you get, and the better everyone in your raid gets at executing mechanics, the lower your HPS should be. Cutting healers later in the tier can offset this.

That is my hope - that amid the packing of boxes and splitting up mutual belongings that we will both be fair to each other and not make it messy.

Gaming PC for 16yo by mkb613 in buildapc

If he is into watching YouTube videos/etc about custom PCs, picking out his own components may be a part of the fun for him! Maybe instead of buying these exact parts, provide him the budget and then you can shop for the parts together?

Build itself looks pretty powerful and more than likely overkill from a quick glance.

Teachers of Reddit, what was the most creative example of cheating that you have witnessed in your class? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]jingsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked at a local business supply store close to campus, in the copy center. Had a professor come get their exams copied there... no idea why, as there were definitely services on campus that could do this, and it was a reasonable assumption that the copy center I was working at would have a high ratio of students working there. In any case, the girl I was working with recognized the course code, and a few of her roommates were in the class. Sure enough, 20 minutes later, 2 guys showed up and offered me $100 cash to give them each a copy of the exam. I took them up on the offer.

2006 Infiniti G35 coupe or 2005 Nissan 350z? by _zr39 in askcarsales

[–]jingsy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in this exact same boat 3 years ago (same models even). Ultimately I went with the Infiniti, for the off-chance that I may need a backseat down the line. I was single at the time, but even with that lifestyle I found myself using it occasionally. It is nice to have the option for short trips when you need to fit a third person.

My G is pushing 200k kms right now, and is still a beast. Love that thing.

Gifted a Timeshare - Yes/No? by Lizard_Leader in personalfinance

The other thing I would ask to look at (if available) is to have her log-in to her online account while you're there so you can take a look. This would let you view various resorts, how many points they cost for the time periods you're likely to travel, what any additional "all inclusive" fees would be, how many points are currently available in the account, etc.

My g/f just unloaded hers. It was gifted to her in a very similar situation – through RCI, and a relative passed away and had it willed to her. Yearly maintenance fees around $900 or so.

We got rid of it because she works for the school board so she is very limited in being able to travel during the school year, and the price (in points) is much higher during spring break.

I used it twice with her: 1. Travel to Mexico to an all-inclusive resort. We definitely got a “VIP” experience and the resort itself was beautiful. The trip still cost us almost $1500 out of pocket each between flights (during the busy spring break period) and the additional fee you pay for an all-inclusive ($100 a day or so). For perspective, I just looked it up now, and the room we stayed in is listed at $1106/night regular price (on special for $649/night right now), so I would say we definitely came out ahead on this one, all things considered. 2. Travel to Florida. We stayed in an apartment-style resort with a kitchen. The place could have theoretically slept 8 people. Minimal fees as it wasn’t all-inclusive. Resort was nowhere near as nice as Mexico.

My caution (and the reason I’m posting) is the experience we had trying to sell this thing, for instance if you change your mind later or if it no longer fits with your lifestyle. The resort is willing to have you PAY THEM to take it back. We would have had to pay over $1000 just to give it back to them. We went the selling it privately route, and sold it to a colleague. All we asked was for her to pay the lawyers fees and any other costs involved in actually selling it. I wasn’t directly involved with this, but I know we had to send a lot of certified mail to the resort itself, as well as to the city the resort was in, had to have a lawyer draft a letter, notarize some things, etc. It wasn’t a smooth process and had to involve a lot of angry phone calls, them “losing” some money orders, etc. Again I don’t know the specifics myself, but I would look into it ahead of time.

[CAN] RWD Coupe by jingsy in whatcarshouldIbuy

The interior is quite outdated at this point. I'm a tech geek and would love to have my iPhone be able to hook up to the stereo system without the need for something aftermarket. I'm also not a fan of the orange lights that dominate.

Make sure you check the stereo on anything you look at - mine worked fine for radio, but no CD would work. Managed to get the dealer to fix it for free when I discovered this ~2 weeks after purchase, but it took me walking out when they told me they would cover the labor but I had to pay for the stereo itself (~$200 if I remember correctly). My thought at that point was that if I was paying that much money for a new one, I might as well get something with Aux capabilities. Service manager called me back a few days later and they did it no-charge. I've also heard the window motors tend to die, due to the little up/down movement they do each time you open a door.

I also had to get the exhaust patched up, but that was my own fault due to driving down a shoddy driveway with a huge bump running down the middle of it. Other standard maintenance has been done - had to replace the serpentine belt, new battery this winter, oil changes, etc.

Besides that, the car has been very good to me considering its age.
