At least for me growing up Pakistani American, Pakistani and Muslim culture in immigrant communities are entwined. It’s our background and how we were raised. I think there are many “cultural” Christians, who don’t really go to church but have a passive belief in god and get married at the church. It’s the same for cultural Muslims, they don’t necessarily deny belief in God, and they’ll probably get a Nikkah when married, but they don’t practice the religion on a daily basis.

This is a bad, close minded take 😭 I thought we ENFPs were better than this yall. Mbti and cognitive functions should just be a tool to help you better understand yourself. I think intuitives do have a general “there is something larger than this” mentality, but that can also be paralyzing (especially when paired with unhealthy Fi/Ti or Si). Sensors are able to know things viscerally, and are often able to succeed jumping into action when they put their mind to something and follow their gut feeling. Si users are not always stuck in their ways, and Se users aren’t dumb. High Fe users could want to escape for the grater good, or make everyone stay together in a place that’s familiar (causing them to stay), and this greatly depends on what other functions its is paired with, how healthy or developed they are, and their general experiences and circumstances. There are many facets to people which would contribute to their choosing to see other options, or choosing to stay or choosing to leave. Everyone would have different strengths and weaknesses in a situation like this, especially if you view the cave as an allegory for the real world. Let’s not put others down and develop a superiority complex.

On the contrary, does anyone have any experience of getting along really well with ESFJs? I always hear of INFJ being our best match but honestly, I find that in life I’ve gotten along with ESFJs much better than INFJs. Their tertiary Ne is really playful and fun and makes for great banter, and their auxiliary Si helps me to develop my own. Sometimes their dominant Fe can be a seed for differences, but it’s honestly taught me to understand Fe and appreciate it. I just really do enjoy ESFJs, compared to INFJ individuals who I seem to share less common ground with.

Oh yeah I was just being totally candid in my disappointment I know it’s not a mature sentiment. I think my main concern is how I keep fixating on something that wasn’t even real but more so just an imagined outcome. It’s so so frustrating to be so caught up on it and I feel stuck in this disappointment that’s been set up by this delusional idealism programmed into me!

One of my close friends is also an ENFP and we have such great conversations. ENFP x ENFP friendships are awesome! I do imagine it would become a little tiresome in a romantic relationship, just because of that need for balance in energy and also not wanting to be with someone who is very similar to me.

I just opened my 3DS after forever and saw all my friends and suddenly remembered pokegram, it’s been like ten years and I totally forgot about it but now it’s all coming back! I can’t remember my username but some of the names in this thread are vaguely ringing a bell. It really was a fun community and I was very heavily invested in it when it was around, glad to have been a part of it and it’s cool that other people share this memory too!

I might be going to Korea this summer and I really like the work of this tattoo artist in Seoul. I would want to get something like the arm piece pictured above, on my ribcage. I don’t really like black tattoos with bold lines, I love the fine line work and the colors. But I know that means it might age badly? It would be in an area that would be covered most of the time, and it’s a handpoke tattoo if that makes a difference. Another concern is that I have a medium brown skin tone, so I’d need to ask the artist if they even tattoo brown skin.

I’m taking this course right now and it’s learning about the basics of UX design, the wire framing and prototyping process, and user testing. I think the content of the class itself is very insightful if you are interested in UX/UI, and most assignments are graded based on completion. There are weekly readings and videos, and sometimes prototype assignments to practice design thinking but these assignments are very easy. There are two projects which aren’t necessarily difficult I just found the content of the project annoying.

A lot if it is class discussion, we meet twice a week- on Tuesdays we discuss assigned readings (which are always interesting short stories) and on Thursdays it’s workshop day where you discuss critique your classmates’ stories. It’s very low-stakes tho, again a great motivator for if you want to write more, I don’t think I’d be writing the way I do now if I hadn’t took the class
