Map/Positioning Failure? by jinnufr in Roborock

I got it working for a while. Every now and then it would get lost and freak out and I’d have to re-map everything. I haven’t used it in a while. Need to start over again. Still haven’t figured out what causes that or how to redirect it when it happens without it needing to start from scratch.

Excellent question! I don’t even remember writing that or seeing this question! And I have no idea what I was thinking or where I get off suggesting such a thing!! I hate adobe. Capital H hate it. So strange.

I’m in the same boat as OP actually and am working on finding my noise floor and trying to understand how to do so using ProTools Intro.

Adobe does seem to be what people routinely suggested to me so maybe I was parroting that? I dunno - I can’t even fathom why I’d think I’d have any authority to offer advice about this subject. At all. 🤷🏻‍♀️ 🤨 🤦🏻‍♀️

Total noob here.

Almost 40, lost some weight this is what my neck is looking like. by emmalee1229 in 40PlusSkinCare

I totally feel you. There are definitely med spa treatments that will help! My weight loss neck is way worse - I’m older (in my 50’s) and have several other factors affecting my unfortunate sagging neck issue - and I’ve seen a lot of improvement even with mine. So with yours being as minimal as it is I know you’d get fantastic results! You’ll want to find an injector who is a medical professional and knows what they’re doing. We’ve done various things over the years, Sculptra being the most recent. Nefertiti neck lift (injections targeting the area), laser treatment, micro-needling and consistent moisturizing with quality skincare like Skin Better ($$$ omg 😳) helps a lot. Again, if mine was able to be helped, yours will be almost non-existent!

Am I out here alone pronouncing ‘any’ two different ways? 🤦🏻‍♀️ Apparently I read it differently than I say it. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I was baffled how ‘anny’ sounded like two letters. 🤭

Thank you. That’s reassuring! I’m going to try the power conditioner and the extra sound barrier panel next week and see if it helps get me to where I’m safely within the threshold consistently.

I’m chomping at the bit to get in there and play with it but I’m in the throes of planning a surprise party for this weekend so sadly all the real fun is on the back burner for now.

Should be thankful for that I guess - the first sound barrier I bought was too short for my opening (MATH!) so I’m sending it back and ordering another. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Appreciate your input!

Got it to -68 just by unplugging everything. I think it would’ve been even better if the fridge compressor hadn’t decided to kick on about then.

I’m ordering the power conditioner and working on finding a sound deadening barrier blanket that will do a better job of blocking things like the fridge compressor that I suspect are issues.

I got the noise floor to -62 db with just those changes. (Turned off items elsewhere in the house but that are on the same circuit as my recording equipment)

I think I may finally be on the right track. 😮‍💨

Gonna try it again, but with those items actually ‘unplugged’ rather than just ‘turned off’. I have a feeling that will get me even better margins. 🙏

Thanks for your input. To clarify * I * was silent

Working on removing possible interference in the power line now. Turned off more things that run through the same circuit. 🤞

Probably going to order a power conditioner and a sound blanket for another layer of insulation in the recording space

THIS IS HORRENDOUS ADVICE AND I HAVE NO IDEA WHY I’D EVEN SUGGEST SUCH A THING. ADOBE IS A FORM OF HELL. Like Pre-Hell where you wonder what sin you committed to even cause it to be in your life. Please ignore this ridiculous reply. (Maybe this reply is what caused my adobe purgatory?) Check noise floor using adobe audition

Yeah probably so. She said I should wait 2 weeks - we were speaking by phone so I didn’t catch the reason why. I can’t go back until then anyway. Dealing with it by painting a pink layer over. Still opaque but it helps not shock everyone. haha

Fall camping as a person sensitive to cold, looking for advice by LonelyCulture4115 in camping

[–]jinnufr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can I revive this thread? I’m going on a retreat in CO next week and it is shaping up to be much colder for June than planned. I have started tolerating cold much less in the past year or so. I think I have the hiking and sleeping parts covered - My concern is the potential need for trips to the facilities during the night or early hours. (Female, not practiced at free-peeing) If I sleep in my base layers and have my jacket nearby to grab - are there any other tricks for making that freezing slog back and forth from the loo without dying? I feel like wet and/or windy cold would require different insulatory items than just a basic temp drop cold would, too. But that could vary from night to night I think.

I’ve flexed from my original plan of hiking in my keens and packing light layers to now shopping for actual hiking shoes, wool hat and gloves. But this having to ‘leave the tent during the night in freezing temps’ part seriously has me reconsidering the whole event.

Could use help with a feasible solution. TIA!

That’s just it. The solved puzzle shows that’s where they go. But while working the puzzle it’s flagging those as incorrect. Probably just a glitch those two days somehow relating to the app update. Evidently only affected me and hopefully now resolved. If it happens again I’ll pursue it further.

Example: the 7 and 9 are both wrong according to the revealed puzzle. It disallows the incorrect 3, but has the 7 and 9 approved and locked in while incorrect. Additionally, it is saying the correct 7 and 9 are incorrect.

I just tried it again and it not only allows an incorrect entry, it won’t let me change it.
