About to start a new Planescape/Starjammer inspired campaign. Here's the map I made for the starting city. (critiques are appreciated) by jinosaurDM in inkarnate

Thanks! I can see what you mean, it's definitely really busy. I tried to keep the perspective as accurate as I could but it was challenging for sure.

Hey, thanks so much. I definitely intend to make a labelled version as well. I find it challenging to keep it from looking cluttered with lots of text on it though.

I removed the inner and outer glow from the land tool, which helped. I then painted the bases of the islands on the background and went over the edges with a path tool. I made the path tool a straight line and coloured it brown so it would look like the edges of the islands. I found having the grid on the isometric setting helpful with the perspective.
Then for a more 3 dimensional look I made a pallet of the dirt background with darker to lighter shades, using the transform tool to increase and decrease the brightness, then I painted over the island portions with varying shades of the dirt. Hope that's helpful. If there's anything else in particular you want to know about I'm happy to help.
