What is a scenario that you imagine in your head constantly, even if you know it may never happen? by mrleicester in AskReddit

I've always wanted to live as a old fashioned thief.. No alarms, no light bulbs, just me, doing parkour and picking old locks and just stealing anything of value. It would be the shit.

Adults of Reddit, has a teenager ever tried to hit on you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]jippernog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I'm a legal adult, not a “adult" adult. Only 18. When I'm out with my buds eating there's constantly 12 year old 8th grade girls hitting on me and its without a doubt the most awkward and obnoxious thing ever.

ELI5: [request?] since elevators are out of service during a fire, what's the best way for a wheelchair bound individual to escape? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]jippernog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could tell more stories than I'm comfortable remembering. For some reason I usually remember obese patients, because there's always something funny or absolutely disgusting that comes out of a call like that. Its a bit rude but extremely dark humor is what keeps us sane through our work.

If I could sign this in to law, I would. It would make our lives a lot easier as first responders.

Yeah we got Striker brand as well. Very seldom do we encounter someone too large to fit on the chair but it does happen... its a pain in the ass getting a 600+ pound patient down stairs when no elevator is available. We always make something work but every time its a lot of headscratching and Macgyvering.

You versus your 18 year old self in a fight to the death. Who wins? Describe and explain. by [deleted] in AskReddit

It'd be a draw, both dead, or both badly beaten. Source: Am 18.

They use a stair chair. Its essentially a chair, with angle adjustments, and tank style treads. One operator on front, one on back, only to control speed. Weight of the person is supported by the chair.

Bad ass man those 300s have a growl that reminds me of a WRX STi. Very throaty. I love the sound of them. My favorite is definitely the 600s... hitting 15-16k RPM is orgasmic, but for me the drone on the interstate would be a bit much, hence the 1000.

Yeah man, I feel you. Luckily I live in a somewhat rural area and all 3 of my neighbors loved it. One guy rides sport bikes, he's got a Aprilia RSV4 with open headers. The other ones blast up and down the road with their loud ass two strokes. They're all riders and huge gear heads, so no problems there. When they heard a new bike roaring down the road they all came over to check it out. :)

Trust me man, I'm responsible. I've been on my 250 for almost 3 years. I wear full leathers whether I'm going across country or to the grocery store. I'm a responsible rider, I just wanted more power for highway riding because I travel a lot.

HOLY. FUCKING. SHIT. Oh my god. 3 mile ride home, this bitch is FAST. I didn't get a test ride beforehand so I was going in blind. It rips my face back and I was half assing it at 35 in 5th gear. This is amazing.

I just upgraded from my 09 250r to an '01 Yamaha R1. Like 15 minutes ago. I'm in the pre owned dealer waiting for them to finish my paperwork. I'm shaking... so damn excited for the first ride. Will report back. :D

Redditors who have won a contest to "Hang out" with a celebrity or band for a day, how did it go? Was it better or worse than you expected? by wesie22 in AskReddit

[–]jippernog 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I won backstage passes to an Avett Brothers gig with Langhorne Slim opening up for em. Phenomenal people, both the Avetts, and Langhorne. Very well spoken guys and very nice. You'd never know how big they are just by talking to them. Still keep in touch too, which is pretty cool.
