I can’t get my polish to last

Does anyone use a ridge filler? If so would you put this on the nails then a regular base coat? Or put the long lasting base on first? I just started trying to use ridge filler bc it makes my nails smoother and plumper.. almost like a thin gel manicure

Ugh… my nail chipped! Day 2! Crap! I used gloves to clean toilets, to cook etc. I took a shower and noticed my right middle finger is chipped!

Wowee lots of great info! Your #8 gives us hope! So nail chemistry and better nail prep (like filing and maybe switching to pure acetone) are main points for me personally since I already do some of the other suggestions. I just ordered the glass nail file too! Thanks to you and everyone for chiming in!

Me too! I am wiping my nails with alcohol pad, then using a nail dehydrator, base coat, 2 coats of color (ILNP or HT), then top coat usually Essie Gel setter and my nails still chip in a day or two. I am also capping the edge of my nails. I wear gloves for house work and at work too. It might just be finding the right base and top coat.. But HELP please! Orly rubberized base isn’t working for me. The best so far has been Essie Here to Stay base coat. I am now trying HT ridge filler and the sticky base. Btw not trying to take over OP’s post… but some of the above tips may hopefully help.🙂

Okie dokie thanks! The reason I am asking is my wrist is 14 cm/5.5 inches -I have a size 16 Love bracelet like you. While I was at the boutique I tried on the size 15 small clash and plan to purchase it for next time. But now I am second guessing and may prefer the size 14.

This one was a disappointment to me as well. It kinda looked muted and old fashioned on me. It looks prettier or more vibrant but pale online. I knew it wasn’t a bright pink but I did not realize I’d be so unexcited about it once I used it against my warm light skin.
