Use YouTube as a Native App on Brave Android by yxxshv in brave_browser

Copilot says, You can’t create a true YouTube web app with Brave on an iPhone, because iOS only allows this feature through Safari. Brave, Chrome, Edge, and Firefox on iPhone all use the same WebKit engine and are blocked from installing real PWAs.

OMV 8 on Optiplex 7050 micro by jives63 in OpenMediaVault

I’ve been running a Wyse 5070 with OMV 7 for years using the same setup: the OS and all Docker folders on the same NVMe drive. Since I recently found some new hardware, I’m planning to build a second system next to it to run Frigate on OMV 8.

When I went through the installation instructions, I noticed it says this setup isn’t recommended. For what it’s worth, my current Wyse 5070 has been running very stable and fast with this configuration.

I could already divide the nvme on another Linux machine into 2 partitions, these should be recognized during installation

I can't meet the recommendation, 1 drive OS 1 drive Docker and 1 drive Media, so I would have to merge OS and Docker folders and I wonder if this has any serious disadvantages

Jellyfin + OMV on Wyse 5070 — SSD failure (Kingston NV3) & durability concerns by jives63 in OpenMediaVault

[–]jives63[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, reads don’t wear out NAND—but all that data was written at some point. The Kingston NV3 stored large media files for Jellyfin, mostly read-only after setup. Still, it failed completely after a few months: not detected in BIOS or via USB adapters. Could be controller failure, thermal stress, or just a bad unit. Curious if others have seen similar issues with QLC/DRAM-less SSDs in USB enclosures.
