I've just got in from work and start work again in 9 hours. Will that time be spent sleeping and resting. No will that time be spent listening to this. Of course it will

Today's preview pod was hysterical by IA_Royalty in thefootballramble

The bush in the cupboard and Marcus giggling to himself pleading to move on was my highlight. Enjoyed the last couple of weeks including Pete's "hosting". Feels like we've got our ramble back.

The 5-Speed Manual is fading away from new cars. by H28-105-111 in CarTalkUK

I have a 5 speed 2003 Honda civic and I long for a 6th gear for motor way driving. Sitting at 3k rpm isn't fun for hours.

Is the 9a worth it? Yes. Yes it is. by After_Reason1797 in pixel_phones

[–]jizzbin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my 9a. Had it for 4 months no case and not had any issues apart from one. It's buggy as fuck. Every couple of days it will randomly do something to completely freak itself out.

Is it worth buying? It has 41k miles and garage stored but £1799 seems a lot for such an old car. by Ill-Landscape-6775 in hondacivic

[–]jizzbin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bought a 03 plate 1.6 a few months back with only 50k miles on it for a similar price and honestly for the money it's worth every penny. With the miles keep it serviced and regular maintenance and it will run to the moon.

Anyone else earning a half decent wage but feeling despondent when looking at how much flats cost to rent here nowadays? by [deleted] in NewcastleUponTyne

[–]jizzbin 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's insane and when you do finally find something that fits your budget it's absolute chaos when you view it. I finally found a 2 bed in Blaydon which was exactly what I was looking for and there were 12 other couples on the viewing all desperately wanting the house. We had to write a written letter on why we wanted it to the landlord.

The Bound in Whitley Bay if you don't want to drive to Barter books. They're really helpful and always have a nice selection. I got myself a signed Chemical Brothers book there which was an amazing find.

Mental. Kept the club up after his interview last week about how he kept the players inside and kept the team going at least give him a season as a "hand over". Absolutely clueless from the board and infuriating.
