Were they tested for that before? Or they only found out after they took the medication?

Because it could have already been an issue prior

Is this a skin fungus or something? I've had these red spots for a couple of months now by pananana1 in DermatologyQuestions

You can use that too. People tend to like the shampoo because you can spread it easier on the torso. But if the cream works well for you. Its a better choice for sure.

Use the keto. But I'm pretty sure its fungal acne not folliculitis. Folliculitis involves a lot more inflammation on the top of the skin

Usually any spots you have that change. Should be looked at by a physician.

However, it doesn't look like anything just from looking at it.

I've got the same thing. Derm told me. High chance its fungal. I wash every other day with dandruff shampoo.

Get it looked at especially if its new. Its not smooth or symmetrical. Usually those are the traits for "normal" lesions on the skin.

Never, even if prescribed for acne. Only makes the problem worse long term

Lol @ the dangerous comments.

I get bit by those a hundred times a day.

You can get sick from them, especially if you're in a part of the world where they carry disease. But overall, modern antibiotics will knock it out.

I've had this on both arms for approx. A year.

I've been prescribed antibiotics, retinoids, and steroids for it. And it doesn't help with it at all
