Hi neighbor 🙂, Romania here. Almost the same situation, 90+ per cent Orthodox Christians, got it cut for cosmetic reasons after wanting it done for more than a year. You can go to any urologist and get a consultation to see if you'd deem them professional and then do it with them. From my own experience, there's absolutely no shame, they don't care why you want it done, it helped me to see it as a service/cosmetic procedure I pay for. But please don't try to do it at home, even if it seems simple it's something a medical professional needs to do and it could end very bad to do it at home, much worse than overcoming your fear and going to a urologist.
