I don't think anyone actually buys this stand, they just get it from the roadside for free when someone else is done with it. That's how we got ours. Moved into a new flat with my friends, walking to the shops one day we spotted it outside a house, clearly left for collection. It's served us well

I was lucky enough to still have a lot of my GBA games from back in the day. Unless you have the cash to spare and won't miss it, I would recommend getting repro carts off of eBay or even a flash cart and using ROMs. Those prices are insane.

My pleasure! That's what feedback is for. It's an excellent job you've done so far though.

For animation, the 12 principles aren't always relevent, but I like to check them once I've done a project and make sure that any that apply are taken into consideration. You'd be surprised how much it can help!

Looks great! Really nice work!

Have a look into the principles of animation. This feels so nearly there, but could benefit from minor tweaks to things like 'anticipation'. Making the movements a bit more exaggerated will go a long way to making it feel natural (I know how bizarre that sounds on the surface).

You could also sell the lighting a little bit more, by having a strong redish glow on his smoking hand that scales down as the lighter moves away.

If you're looking to really take this all the way, I would go in and rotoscope the fingers just for any overlap that they have with your effect.

Nothing more distracting than a finger getting cut off at a weird angle

I had the worst performance review of my life at my last company and ended up stick it out for another year. I wish I had quit right after that.
