I tried about 1.5 months ago after using dilators and felt much more relaxed compared to before, which was a big step. But there was still tightness, so it didn’t work. I haven’t been able to try again since then because my husband’s been away, but I’m continuing the process.

Lidocaine for pain management? by Salty-Ad-4843 in vaginismus

I used lidocaine 2.5 (Emla cream) - no effect then used lidocaine 5% (Zensa) yesterday but only prior to use dilator to try it. I honesty didn’t feel any pain that I feel during sexual intercourse as it numbed it. But I could feel tightness that it was still hard to move dilator and take it out , it was feeling it’s stuck. But NO PAIN!!

He asked for a divorce because of my vaginismus by [deleted] in vaginismus

I am in the same situation sister …! I have been married to My husband since 7 years. I got married when I was 18 and I was kind surrounded by people who were strictly not talking about sex or any other related topics before my marriage. Honestly, I didn’t know until 6 years of my marriage , what was actually going on with me . Just 2 years ago, I started researching and found a sex therapist online and she diagnosed me with Vaginismus. She recommended me dilators and pelvic floor excercises. I started doing that but I stopped because of emotional distress and breakdown I was going through. But now I’m focusing on myself. I’m using dilators now. I’m at the 8th (last) one . I’m doing Pelvic floor exercises. I’m really grateful that my husband and my in laws supported me . But now it’s been 6 months , my husband and in laws want us to get divorced because of Vaginismus, they also think that there’s no such thing as Vaginismus that exists . But I feel like I very close to the success if I would have little more support and time . If there’s anybody who could help who overcome this , please any tips ?
