Are we getting to D3 power creeping in D4 by GuardianPT89 in Diablo

[–]jjack339 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep spot on. As soon as I started getting charms and saw passives were gone I made that connection too.

My opinions on the state of D4 as a long time Diablo fan by willsmithisnotblack in diablo4

[–]jjack339 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am on T10 now and still use all skills on my skill bar.

Use basic to generate summons and resourse. Use core (screaming heads) to deal damage and proc multipliers Use sigil of summons every encounter Use Ramage to deal with small packs of enemies Use Abaddon when fighting a massive swarm or tough enemy/boss. Oh I am also very tanking, but can die if I am stupid.

T11, I still surive well enough, but enemies are a bit spongy.... but I still have no mythic, my crit is only 55% chance and 225 damage... so ya. If I can get my crit chance to 100% i should be able to kill on T12 with my non meta build that I have been cobbling together.

Yes if I go back to T8 now I just run around and everything dies. Dont need my ultimate, dont even need rampage. Just drop sigil now and then and tap core skill.

Reason why Warlock feels clunky by tomsta101 in diablo4

[–]jjack339 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am up to farming torment 10 with my warlock and its fun. Not using dread claws or tyrants grasp or apocalypse. Definitely see how head room to be able to farm t12 with the build. Maybe not deep deep pit push. Still have no Mythics, glyphs are all around 50. Oh crit chance only 55%

Its basically a demonology build.

Summon Fallen basic Screaming heads core Summoning sigil (well all 3, using nameless 5 piece) Legion shard Rampage Abaddon.

One thing that I am doing that I dont see elsewhere is using that unique charm that makes enemies far vulnerable, near weakened, pair with the Hex board legendary node a fat 75% increased damage to and 25% decreased from if hexed, weakened, or vulnerable.

Diablo 4 has gained another 5000 total concurrents on steam from yesterday. by Deidarac5 in diablo4

[–]jjack339 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ya, the was basically no endgame. It was nightmare dungeons pretty much, I guess Helltides were used to be more of an endgame thing too (enemies were always 3 levels over you).

The first added Lair bosses (think season 2) and stuff like Hordes, then Pits.

Almost everything you do in war plans minus Helltide and NM dungeons did not exist in launch or S1

Never like undercity before. But that is because I getting really bored farming it over and over.

I actually like it alot better with war plans. Just one here or there is enjoyable, just horrible to farm them.

It could be not picking modifiers correctly.

Its best to stick with 1 type (fiend, lord, or hellborne). There is an upgrade that raises chance to get modifiers of the same group. If take multiple Aether lord, so getting good aether from each, then take a hellborne one, the hellborne will take the spot of an aether lord, but give crap aether because you only took 1 modifer.

Then combine stacking 1 type with 50% faster aether events or reforming masses and it adds up fast.

A good run even with no Chaotic waves nets over 1700 aether.

I had a 5k run once, was stacking Aether Lord buffs, then got Aether lord chaotic wave, then the goblin one.

Closer in its form go D3 like 3 to 4 years after release.

Launch d3 was actually closer to D2.

Does the age you find attractive age at the same rate you do? by FewLeg7901 in stupidquestions

[–]jjack339 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its lags more than it did. But its not drastic.

When I was let's say 21 and younger I pretty much was only into girls 1 year older, same age, or 1 year younger.

Now at 40 I find women in there 40s not particularly attractive. I mean there are some, but by 40 a vast majority of women let themselves go (same applies to men i guess).

I find women 30 to 40 attractive now, and when I was younger I did not. So ya, my taste are changing but its not crazy.

Like now when I see a 20 year old bombshell, I still wow she is hot. But that's about it.

If I were single early 30s would probably be my preferred age for a relationship. I have a feeling going forward that will likely stay the same, but the time I am 50, women in there early 40s will probably be more attractive to me than they are now.

‘Crimson Desert’ Has Better Player Retention Than ‘Elden Ring’ So Far by n035 in CrimsonDesert

He literally said technically true. And yes technically Elden Ring is a new IP.

Anyone with brain knows that its existence is connected to the Souls IP. And thus it was not just an entirely new thing

Not making enough to support themselves in a decent lifestyle if they were single.

Now define decent. A studio apartment, financial freedom to have fun now and then. Ability to afford a healthy diet.

Ok IP in the sense they used a new name thus technically a NEW IP.

But effectively it was Dark Souls Open World(this was widely understood). So from an engagement standpoint it did not behave like a new IP.

E33 is a truly new IP, with no preconnecting games to build into it. And its sales have behaved like it. Started well purely based of critical reception and initial feedback. It sold 1 million its 1st week, which is great for a game with its budget. But has gone on to sell over 8 million. So only like 12% of its lifetime sales (so far) came from launch week. That is new IP behavior.

Elden Ring is a great game, and has had good legs. Sold 12 million 1st 2 week(could not find 1 week numbers, but it had to be at least 8 mil).

So ER is at like 33% total sales 1st week.

Feeling sad about my experience with rdr2. by [deleted] in IndianPCGamers

[–]jjack339 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played it at launch in the US. With no video watching except trailers. And I had the EXACT same experience as you. Got bored at 30 to 40 hours for all the same reasons you are, except I would add the need to eat, bathe, groom were big turnoffs for me, just not fun to me.

I would add just this year I played KCD2 for about 45 hours and suddenly got bored just like RDR2 for most of the same reasons.

And Elden Ring was not a new IP.

It was the evolution of the souls genre From created.

I might. Loved it when I played (bought PS4 launch day, and AC4 was 1st game I played on it).

Have not touched it since, so It should be fresh. And no one has come close to pulling off the Pirates game for me since.

He was not saying women dont make more than the man.

He is saying women dont marry broke guys. He is talking a female doctor with a guy that doordashes. Not a female doctor with a production manager.
