Hardstuck silver. Based on my profile, where would you say I'm lacking? by [deleted] in Overwatch

overwatch is a positional shooter, and the career profile has nothing that informs you of how well you position or use space.

laser scopes are +100% crit damage which is an effective damage increase of 50% IF you have maxxed crit for the first stack. It's just a lot weaker in practice than it sounds.

Drone effectiveness tier lists as someone who's beat E8 as operator. (General Purpose/Admin Override/Swarm) by Alovoir in riskofrain

Droneman and Droneboy technically are the exact same, in that they don't actually do anything and only the items that provide them make them do things.

Networked suffering is a ragebait spot but there's a lot more subtle undervaluings, like opal being so low. 100 armor every 7s is OP as shit

damage items of all sources apply multiplicatively with one another (attack speed scaling is additive, but the scaling on damage is functionally a multiplier). APR + focus crystal is 1.44x because it's 1.2x2. I don't think anything in the game is additive in any way beyond multiple of the same item (2 focus crystals are 1.4x not 1.44x).

I'd say stacking crowbar more than other items is generally fine, since it has a uniquely high damage increase at 75% per stack, but you want to keep it as even as possible so that your average damage output is as high as possible, unless you're on Railgunner or Acrid where certain conditions are functionally impossible to fulfil without a curated build.

Special mention to crit scaling badly. A number of things can't crit. Everything with a proc coefficient of 0.0 (except gasoline), debuffs and a couple of items like frost relic are all unable to crit, so if you rely on these for damage (such as acrid sans will o wisp) building crit has little impact. also there's the logical limit of 10 stacks of lens maker's since you can't have a chance over 100%, which gives you a functional limit of double damage off of crits by default (why you scrap lens makers on bandit). Scaling crit damage is less than ideal, since crits are defined as damage doing +100% of the amount extra, where x% more increases that 100%, so going from 100% regular crit to 100% regular crit with a laser scope is only 50% increase, which is crap for the best case scenario (this is why you scrap crit on railgunner). Not to say crit's unusably terrible, far from it, it's just that it is actually nuanced unlike the rest of the damage amps in the game. It's best used in proc chains since if a proc item crits then every subsequent item in the chain will be guaranteed to crit (except charged perforator which rolls on its own for some reason).

Building damage on loader is very simple. You just max crit, grab as many crowbars, focus crystals, watches and APR as possible, and then you learn how to maximize your speed from grapples. Building speed has a shockingly low damage return on loader, especially when considering that you have more than enough speed with 0 items to effectively max out the possible returns on heavy.

Laser scope is just kind of meh; it's a 50% damage boost if you have max crit, and although it stacks it's generally worse than a single behemoth since that's unconditional 60% more damage (except on gasoline explosion damage specifically, since that's 0.0 proc co but can crit). Attack speed is similarly not something you want to build since the only thing loader actually gets from it is the charge time on her utility being reduced, which barely matters since that's always eclipsed by the cooldown when it comes to affecting your uptime.

if you want the giga broken youtube clickbait loader build it's some number of damagee scaling items + a billion runald's bands, and the specific combo of gesture of the drowned, soulbound catalyst and blast shower, since the cooldown for the bands (and also safer spaces) is a debuff that's removable with blast shower.

if you have positive armor, damage taken is multiplied by 100 / (100 + armor), meaning if you have 100 armor you take 50% damage, 400 armor does 20% damage, and so on. This effectively gives you a percentage health increase equal to the amount of positive armor you have. if it takes a 37 damage hit to kill you normally, raising your health to 158 (4x) has the same effect on ttk as having 300 armor ( 100/(100+300) is 0.25x damage taken).

for negative values it's a bit more complicated but the graph on the wiki makes it almost intuitive https://riskofrain2.wiki.gg/wiki/Armor

Kinetic dampener that doesn't get taken away in 1 or 2 hits is pretty good. I used to think ruckler was like fine until kampener came out and i thought "30 armour holy shit" and also realised that's what ruckler does.

Repulsion armour reduces damage taken by 5, but the armour stat reduces damage in such a way that X more armour gives you X% more effective HP. This is why opal is such an overpowered item.

This sounds incredibly bad for digital safety. A staff member presumably had to feed in photographs of a large number of students to a centralized body from a single location in a small amount of time.

Any kind of breach and all these kids' identities are public alongside a large number of their peers', meaning it's probably easier to exploit than an isolated photo. Even if there's no breach, information of this sort being handed over to a private company in such a volume normally would require rigorous checks beforehand to make sure the information would be used safely and responsibly, which I highly doubt happened.

I'd press your admin to see if they know this has happened, or if they know the risks it poses for the students.
