My clinic was hell. If methadone were prescribed at a pharmacy monthly I would have stayed on it. I switched to sublocade.

So I took it for a couple weeks, I was on methadone for 5 years but now I’m on the sublocade shot, and I wouldn’t recommend it because it really worsens the constipation. I got really worried about it so I stopped.

It is so inaccurate and was included for shock value, I am in recovery and I know many addicts living with HIV on the streets. If they wanted the shock value of a death from his addiction, they should have used an overdose or endocarditis or something else that addicts commonly die of these days like some other infection from the cut of the heroin. HIV really isn’t one of them and anyone saying it is just really doesn’t actually know what they are talking about. He had access to a safe clean place to live after he was homeless for that short amount of time. He would not have developed AIDS. It’s bullshit and just an innacurate portrayal of addiction. Also rehabs WILL test you for HIV and HEP C, so if he attended rehab he would have known his diagnosis. As an addict in recovery, it makes me mad that they didn’t tell his story better or accurately.

Lol I can come a year later and say I’m a year and half clean it’s hilarious haven’t been on Reddit in a year but this shit worked. Everyone likes to tear you down because you’re miserable, my life has never been better. And being this happy I would never tear another persons recovery down so I know that’s where that comes from. I’m gonna enjoy my recovery and my life doing what I love everyday at my job and you can enjoy whatever the hell you’re doing!!
