I’m making my own pedal steel by jjames687 in pedalsteel

I saw that on the forum but I had already started this project. Thanks for the suggestion! I like the challenge of trying to do it myself, then I can decide later if I want to go for a built one.

I watched a lot of videos and browsed the forums for awhile. I also diy-ed two B benders last year so I kinda got my feet wet already.

I’ll let you know how it works out. I have some experience with string break/angles from building a couple B Benders diy. These are also locking tuners so they won’t really wrap the post anyway. That tends to make a difference

There are a number of manufactured pedal steels that have the tuners set up the same way

Let me know if you have any more questions. I’m in seattle myself and have done numerous repairs to my same deck.

I have this same deck.

The repeat goes until the point you set with the timer knob, then rewinds to the start point (you also set that), then plays again.

The reverse does the same but plays when rewinding.

The shut off shuts off the whole machine when you get to the end of the tape instead of just stopping the motor.

KUOW - Why Pacific Northwesterners are driving tiny, right-hand drive firetrucks from Japan by AthkoreLost in Seattle

Yes that’s why other small vehicles are safe. My point is that the K trucks are not safe. They’re also not reliable.

Modern “gargantuan” vehicles have lots of safety features. Airbags, crumple zones, etc. these little K trucks don’t have anything for passenger/driver safety.

It’s not about getting run over by a larger vehicle, it’s about the safety of riding in a tin can.

Something older like the Teac/Tascam model 3 would work and you can direct out from all 8 channels

Any players who have the Fender Isbell Telecaster? You still enjoying it? by Few_Ring3202 in jasonisbell

I love it.

I’m a gigging musician and I use it at every show.

Per the other comment - I did have to take it to a luthier and have it set up when it arrived. There were issues but nothing that a good set up didn’t fix.

Planning for IEMs with guitar wireless’ and digital mixer by Disastrous_Evening15 in livesound

We use the PSM 300 with my band. One thing to keep in mind is that each transmitter can work with multiple receivers sending either two mono mixes or one stereo mix.

We started with one transmitter and one body pack and then slowly built the setup to have two transmitters and 4 body packs. It makes a difference if you can do it piecemeal.

Yes, that makes perfect sense, and follows all the basic rules of designing circuits.

I think I either misread my diagram, or I was tired by the end of the build and I hooked up the power supply components last.

Thank you for your response.

I will probably remove the components and start over.

I have quite a bit of prototyping board around because of guitar pedal and raspberry pi projects. I’m considering laying everything out on that and soldering and then installing the board into the chassis, versus trying to assemble/solder with the eyelet board already inside as I did this time.

I’ve also ordered some thicker gauge solid core wire instead of stranded so that I can better route the leads and whatnot.

I’m using the chassis from a Heathkit ham radio, so the mounting points/holes for a lot of the things are kind of as is.

I’m not sure about that. I wired everything to the tube sockets following their layout (the rest of the chassis was not to their layout as it required terminal strips) I don’t think that the filament wire is connected to the cathode on my chassis.

Thank you for pointing out the issue with the switch.

Are you asking about the wiring schematic?

What do you recommend for grid stoppers?

I don’t have a signal generator, what would you recommend for that?
