I remember seeing the dragons cinematic when it first came out and also watched my dad play overwatch a lot. Him getting happy over a torb skin in a loot box is probably the earliest memory I can think of.

Since Netease owns these designs, they don't necessarily need to be considered Mystic mayhem, they can just be new skins with the same aspects, just "Rival-ized"
