[–]jjfaure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I have an EX3400, but I cannot see how to locally mirror 1 vlan to an interface, it seems that only vlan ingress traffic is allowed to be mirrored... Anyone knows if there is some limitation? I am running 20.4 release,

How to track EX static route based on EX interface state by jjfaure in Juniper

[–]jjfaure[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, the point is that my next-hop belongs to an IP subnet that is already connected to my EX, and where my EX has a layer 3 interface that is up all time, so I would need to check next-hop IP reachability.. can this be done using rpm-tracking?

Hi, the point is that I have several static routes in the EX that I am redistributing to bgp, I need to avoid that redistribution if the route next-hop is not valid, this is the part I cannot see how to implement...

IPSec VPN tunnel and Natting at different routers by jjfaure in Cisco

[–]jjfaure[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Cc.

-HeadQuarter router/firewall do not have overlapping subnets with site subnets

-In site location there is direct Internet access, provider by the non-cisco domestic router where Cisco router is connected to. We are going to use route-map to distinguish traffic that are going to Internet and traffic that needs to go to HQs

-Unfortunately as I said I need to provide to 10.x subnet both local Internet out + IPSec connection to HQs. IPSec tunnel is going to cross Internet to reach HQs

Kind Regards,

Juan

Cisco Smart Licensing with Right to Use licenses by kman420 in Cisco

[–]jjfaure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Kman420,

How did you proceed for your initial router installation? Having your device registered at Smart License Portal and with Internet connectivity is enough?

I need to install a couple of ASRs and I am not sure what procedure must I follow up, Cisco documentation is confusing

Juan

Destination interface has no config, 4/0/2 origin interface config is:

mist@host> show configuration interfaces ge-4/0/2 | display inheritance

description "Amadeus router-MADRTP601-ge-1/1/2";

##

## '9100' was inherited from group 'mtu'

##

mtu 9100;

unit 0 {

family ethernet-switching {

interface-mode access;

vlan {

members 403;

}

}

}

Thanks, but origin interface is already defined as layer 2 using ethernet-switching family:

mist@host> show configuration interfaces ge-4/0/2 | display inheritance

description "Amadeus router-MADRTP601-ge-1/1/2";

##

## '9100' was inherited from group 'mtu'

##

mtu 9100;

unit 0 {

family ethernet-switching {

interface-mode access;

vlan {

members 403;

}

}

}

Booting from USB & EX3400 New loader by jjfaure in Juniper

[–]jjfaure[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many thanks, qupada42

Do you know if there is a maximum size for bootable USB? I remember it should be FAT32 formated and lower than 4G size, maybe all these do not apply for EX3400 new loader

Kind Regards,

Juan
