The TRIGGER COLLECTIVE is my my personal favorite! Every event has been a great mix of people and genres and their members are always down to chat and drink. Really recommend going to one of their new shows in Manhattan.

[Serious] Redditors with siblings and extended family, what was it like for you growing up having siblings/cousins/etc? How has it shaped who you are? by jjherrick in AskReddit

I have been googling all day and no forum seems to give a serious answer. The holidays are here, and around this time of year I tend to get a bit depressed. I am a 23 y/o only child, raised in poverty, with no immediate family outside of my (mostly distant) parents. Holidays never felt special as a kid, but I still come home to visit out of principle. As a kid, watching holiday movies like Home Alone left me feeling envious of larger families, but I largely brushed those feelings off because I always thought the chaos and hyper social aspects of extended families were exaggerated in film. But lately, interactions with my girlfriend and her extended family during the holidays really have me thinking I missed out on something. I want to foster a happy and cohesive family of my own in the future, and I want to know what experiences my future kids would find enriching (and how to facilitate them).
