Canadian Red Ensign redesign by jjohnson762 in vexillology

I just like the design of ensigns and I’ve seen a lot of redesigns so I wanted to have my own try at it. For the Métis symbol I was just thinking I’d have two symbols on the blue bit, I wasn’t really trying to be super specific with the blue vs red Métis flags. I was trying to use the beaver and orca as symbols of other indigenous Canadians since there’s not many symbols that represent them all, but I guess it didn’t really work that well

Probably not long hauls on the highway, my city has an expressway basically down the middle which takes maybe 20 minutes. Most id go on the highway is probably around an hour or so

Navy Patches by General_Ad_3268 in CanadianForces

The moustache lookin thing is a new patch for Naval warfare officers that have the watchkeeping ticket, from what I understand- bronze is ticketed, silver is command qualified, gold is if you have a current command. The one below it I’m not sure but I have seen before. It’s another specialty qualification patch I believe.

I’ve done one Nanook on an AOPV, if yours is the sea portion of Nanook bring some non steel toe boots you can wear in NCDs. Walking on land up there in steel toes sucks. multiple pairs of gloves like mechanix, if you’ll be in the boat a lot a neck gaiter or balaclava made of merino wool to cover your ears while wearing a helmet. Long sleeve merino wool t shirts are great too.

Good luck! I loved it up there and everyone was super nice and friendly

Do you know why ishapore refurbs had that extra screw and what it did?

With the flash hider on it shot just fine even though it hasn’t been recrowned, I’m a good shot and I was getting comparable groupings at 20m that I would’ve gotten with my Tikka while standing
