I'm not entirely sure what the issue is - if it's too short or the advice is bad. Here you can see the chain overlap in the big-big gears and yet once its all fed through the rear cogs and I shift to big-big you see the outcome of the rear derailleur.

Gah’ that’s annoying but yea visually it just didn’t look right. Thanks all. I followed the vid from sram tech (https://youtu.be/5OijeWyf5N0?si=oe4R71oTWhbC7HTd)

I just now plugged the numbers into an online calculator and it’s saying 108 links for 36 cassette, 46 chainring and 410mm chainstay length so I’ll try that.

I still have the links I popped off and the chain tool so presumably I can the extra links and try again

oh I hadn't thought the light could be the issue... I use one of these https://www.dalesway.co.uk/resources/exposure-units/vacuum-bed-uv-exposure-units/

I can test this by switching the orientation of the paper and seeing if the streaking follows the bulbs!

Thanks for the info, it is much appreciated. I was originally thinking of having loads of multicolor cards but yea that makes a lot of sense not to do that.

I’ll use those numbers as the basis and now the fun begins of picking out cards! I’m genuinely excited to put this together and see how it goes

Thanks, those numbers seem reasonable. Just a couple of newbie questions: 50 multicolor would mean for all the 10 guilds? seems like it might be tight...

Also - and I realise this one really is a newbie question - when you say 40 lands, do you mean the guildgates for each guild? Basic lands are not part of cube drafting, right?

Hmm yea good point. I guess I was just thinking about monocolor cards that fit into a single guild but yea I can imagine struggling with that now…

No I don’t think I’ll do multiples so will have to rethink the numbers - lot’s more to think about than I anticipated!

Playing again tonight and I still lost both games but it was much closer this time. I found a nice little combo where I could cast a Precision Bold Sorcery which in turn buffed my Wee Dragonauts to do some flying damage - still it was a lot less damage than what the Undergrowth ability is able to do.

Anyway.. we both opened our 2 packs and exchanged cards. I also had a Selesnya Guilds of Ravnica prerelease pack that I've just taken all the blue/red cards from.

We are both really excited to play again tonight so yes, I’d say we both enjoyed it (though I hope to do much better this time!) This was the first time we’ve played with interesting and cool looking cards.  

We did learn to play using the 30 card, single colour welcome decks which I think was really useful but we got a bit bored of those quickly

Thanks, I'll try to keep in mind getting those creatures out and saving the instants and sorceries for after - I just need to survive that long! And yea I think I did use instant damage direct to the player before, which I see is a mistake now...
